I finally got a chance to sit down and browse through the new Iron Maiden album..I mean Necron codex and overall I rated it on par
with Dark Eldar in terms of rules and competitive play.However I was surprised to find that half the models
in the new range are either amazing or just utter suckfail.Again this is my opinion and you are always allowed to disagree.
So I would like to hear yours then:Which models in the Necron range would you rate higher or lower?
I'll throw my in my two favorite units and two least favorite units

New Immortals are great, a real improvement over the pain in the ass to assemble metal ones.

Deatmarks are cool, I like the Anni and command barge, and praetorians are neat.


FO look like crap, and I am not to happy about the sudden craze on head crests. Of course, a simple head swap can fix that.

Doomsday ark and Ghost Ark...meh. Ok I guess.

I love the praetorian models I lulzed when the GW website nutted over Str 5 Ap 2 weapons from the
Rods of Covenant,They left out the fact that its only has a 6 inch range

I would have a hard time choosing, I even love the "paddle boat" and arks. Only the flayed ones don't really do it for me.

I think that the new "Flayed Ones" look much better than the older ones. But my favorite would be the Immortals

Really? I think the old ones look more twisted/evil, the new ones look like a caricature of their concept. (flayed ones that is, obviously ).

I don't have a fav, they generally look good but nothing just jumps out at me. However, those flayed ones def are in sucksville. Maybe it's the paintjob, but it looks like they're wrapped in sheets of canvas.

I know a lot of people dislike this model, but I love it...

I love everything but those flayed ones that GW did for the Necrons. Good thing they suck and I won't have to buy any.

This guy, if I could make a viable list all around lots of these, I'd drop DE in a heartbeat.

I dont collect necrons,but i absolutely love the deathmarks?i think that's what there called,the sniper guys with one eye...

i like the immortals and lychgaurd. I am NOT a big fan of the FOs or or the fail cast special charecters

I like everything but the Flayed ones.

My favorite model, is probably Imotekh, he just looks badass.

I lurve everything they've made, especially the Deathmarks.

I fething hate the Flayed Ones, though.

Something about the one Cryptek doesnt doesnt sit quite right with me. Cant tell exactly what it is, but I think its the beard thing, Also the head in general looks a bit to big with the one eye, but I dont get that impression from the Deathmarks, it might just be a combo with the beard thing,

and the FOs look fine to me, sans the one with the piggybacking Carcass, that just looks silly

The new flayed ones models are the worst.
What I hate even more is that you cant seem to buy the old ones anymore for games workshop. The new flayed ones models just look silly and don't really match their fluff story too well either, while the old models just looked menacing. I can understand the model dragging the flayed corpse behind him from a fluff perspective, but the others are just slowed.

The only other model I have an issue with is the ghost ark. I don't like the half built neuron warriors in the model as it is supposed to be a transport, but that's about it.

I am pretty much ok with the others. I would prefer though if the jump infantry necrons actually looked like jump infantry, they look like normal elite infantry to me.

@SylvanaSekNadin Yeah I agree with you man the new flayed ones are terribad.the GW website was like 4 attacks on the charge so jesus! but in typical fashion
they didn't mention they are initiative 2 and have no grenades and not even rending im just like wow gakky overpriced scouts good job on that one.
The ghost ark is okay to me but the half built guys inside are gonna be annoying to paint and assemble.As for the praetorians the only issue I have is the dumb amounts
of headcrests they have, sure give it to the overlords but NOT every other model in the army

I don't like Imotekh or Trayzn very much. Imotekh is oddly leaning back, Trayzn is oddly leaning forward. Can't either of them stand up straight? Thankfully I'm not very tempted to use either of them...but I do hope the other special characters turn out better.
