I painted my third and final Vindicator for my Iron Warriors army! This makes me pretty happy since I can field a fully painted wall of iron and caution stripes. The one in the middle with marginally more gold and differently facing caution stripes is the "command tank" should I ever need to use one. Here goes:

Some details of the one I just painted:

And one of the other ones:

Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

Why does one of them have the Imperial Eagle on it?

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

Because unfortunately that comes molded on the dozer blade, and I was kind of a chump when I painted that one and didn't shave it off. I'm going to guess it was a more recent "acquisition" for my Iron Warriors

What I have done to "deface" imperial eagles (even after paint) is heat up an exacto blade then 'X' it out. Leaves a good scar and looks like what you are talking about, a recent acquisition that has been defaced.

Nice mate i like them, would be perfect if you did line highlighting with mithril silver imo, for my IWs i coat them in Devlan mud then highlight.

It takes a while but its defo worth the effort!

Nice job on the paint scheme and weathering. I would go back and file down that aquilla though as it does mess up the cohesiveness of the formation a bit. Also, I'd add a decal or two to the tanks to break up the metalic color. I know heavy gear makes decals with hazard striping that would match the dozer blades.

Take your hobby blade and score some criss-cross grooves into the Imperial Eagle and voila defaced Imperial Eagle very fluffy and you will not even need to repaint much, just a touch-up on the eagle again

Really like the weathering, how was it done?

Nicely done. As mentioned above, deface that Aquila up and some highlights on the silver and maybe a light black wash on some parts of the body could make it pop.

There is black wash in all the recesses and rivets, to give the models some depth. If I didn't do that, they'd be big obnoxious bright silver boxes! Your (and many others') suggestion to defile the aquila thing on the front is duly noted though! The GW one just has an X painted over it, so I think that might be an easy route to go.

Honestly, it's the simplest weathering in the world. I get a big brush and drybrush Graveyard Earth all over the lower half of the model. Just when it seems like I've done enough, I do more. Then I do Kommando Khaki over the same areas. I go back into the recesses and make sure to get some paint in there. It's super easy and yields some pretty good results if I do say so myself!

I really like your Iron Warriors, Brother SRM. I especially like the light weathering at the bottoms of the Vindis. Very well done.

They look really good, and sounds like they were quite simple to paint as well? So brilliant work.

They were! The metal was pretty straightforward, and washing the crevices wasn't too hard either. The weathering is all drybrushing and the lenses are pretty traditional lenses. Honestly, the caution stripes are the hardest part, but it's mostly because that many coats of yellow really wears on your patience!
