What if two players are running Immotek and one of the Immotek's fails for the coninuation of his rule. Does it turn off for both or just for the Immotek that failed? Would the failed Immotek get the lightning strikes still as well? I would personally rule this that it was two seperate "spells" and that one failure means that immotek looses the special rules associated with it.

The BRB FAQ states one armies abiliities dont work for anothers unless they specifically state it does.

What I'd play it as would be until both players fail their night fighting rolls then Night fighting will stay in affect. However if either player fails his rolls then that player cannot roll for anymore lightning strikes.

GENERATION 10: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

I would say that Night Fighting would be maintained by either of the Imotekhs, but if one failed it's roll they would no longer get to use the lightning strikes.

Necron vs. Necron matchups will be silly, since you are allowed to make a scarab unit with spyders each Necron movement phase. If both armies take solar pulses, one player can cancel out another's, a good reason to take two I suppose! As for Trazyn's rule, I'd like to see him kill his own unit when he kills an opposing Necron in close combat. I don't have the codex in front of me, but please tell me that when Trazyn dies you roll to see if he replaces a random FRIENDLY Necron model.

It does say friendly in the dex, that is to bad, I would love to get a free catacomb command barge with Trazyn in necrons vs necrons, how would that work?

Even if it didn't say friendly, you still wouldn't be able to possess enemy models with Trazen. His special combat ability affects both only due to the special rules of the ability.

Lightning strikes occur during your shooting phase if there is Night Fighting that isn't the result of a Solar Pulse. It is not dependent on Imotekh's ability causing Night Fighting in any way.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Night fighting would be in affect until both Immoteks have failed a night fight check I imagine, unless the wording is very specific on any night fight condition ending when the roll is failed. I don't see why either would lose the lightning strikes either unless the lightning is affected specifically by the night fight roll failing and not simply the lack of night fighting being in affect.

Interesting way the rule reads in addition to my first question, it says that at the start of EACH Necron shooting phase roll for lightning strikes while the night fight RULES remain in place.

EACH - I would assume it means you and your opponents if they are running necrons

RULES - even if you solar pulse it looks like you get to roll for lightning strikes.

Also this statement about keeping nightfight rules in place "If not, the Night Fighting rules cease to be in effect and are not used for the rest of the battle."

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also looks like a Cryptek with Solar pulse turns off night fighting rules for a turn so no lightning bolts with immotek if this is used.

Except the rules then say solar pulse has no effect. Read the whole sentence. Also "turn" is "player turn", remember

Also - BRB FAQ. As ever rules have to specify they affect both armies for rules which apply to your army to affect theirs. So Necron turn means the owning players turn

Is there Night Fight? Is it a Necron Shooting phase? Does that necron player have Immotek?

Wrong, read the final sentence of Imotekhs rules. Solar pulses CANNOT give you lightning.

I would say that if two Imotekhs are being used then at the start of each game turn BOTH players have the opportunity to try to keep Night Fighting going and if either passes the roll, then Night Fighting continues.

Is there Night Fight? Was it not caused by a Solar Pulse? Is it a Necron Shooting phase? Does that necron player have Immotek?
