YIPPIE! Theres snow falling outside finally. How funny, I bought a snow plow for my mower during the summer, and just put it on this afternoon. So....snow?

Im just getting ready for it, Id rather have it on now, then having to put it on when my face freezes to my garage floor, and a foot of snow out side. Sides, it wasnt meant for my mower, so some cobbling was needed. Works though!

Well, I've seen the first 10cm of snow, starting the winter off. I expect it to get up to a meter by Monday.

We got three inches Tuesday, 100 Car Crashes in a small town, and I had to stay home from work due to idiotic drivers (I was perfectly happy with idiotic drivers before they all started driving Semis.....) 0 Degree weather, and I had to put on my jacket.

Twas a terrible, terrible day.

Yeppers, Vancouver BC just got it's first dump of snow today....nice wet fluffy sticking hard as heck to shovel snow. My parents live in alberta and they got snow also but its the nice dry kind....wet snow sucks =o[

It's funny as a kid I remember it snowing when we went out trick or treating on Halloween, and by the third week of November the snow banks were as taller then I was. Now we get our first snow, and it melts when it hits the ground..... Anyone who doesn't believe in Global Warming should just look at snowfalls in Canada over the past 20 years....

BTW Now that snow is coming, I can't wait for spring! I'm already tired of shoveling, and I haven't even found my snow shovels yet.....

This winter is an odd one for sure. I know its not "winter" yet, but in Michigan, its normally SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by now, and cold. Its kindda chilly, like I can see my breath and actually need a coat for outside now, but it still feels about a monthish off.


Thaanos - Yea Ive noticed that myself. As a kid, I remember the snow being deep enough to tunnel under it and it was EASY to build a snow fort. When we made a snowman, we had to dig the spot out so we had room to actually PUT the snowman in. And I too remember trick or treating in snow a few times. I didnt even wear a jacket on Halloween this year

But to me, global warming is really just over blown. Yes its real, yes the world is heating up, but its heated up, and cooled down, since the start of its existence. Just dont let it run away and turn into Venus Mk2 and Ill behappy

I like snow,as growing up it was a rare thing to see in New Orleans, my Brooklyn born Missus on the other hand hates it.
None down this way as of yet, and what we do get is nothing compared to the North, but...we should see a foot or two in late December.

Heh, you must live in the low desert. We got 2 feet 3 years ago (extremely rare), and we normally get a few inches at least twice a year.

As a kid I live in Ebbw Vale, which is quite a backwoods area of the welsh valleys and is quite high up, we got a few inches of snow maybe once a year, and you could guarantee that within 12 hours of the snow falling it would begin to rain and melt the snow...

Yeah I like snow too (only in the winter though) great time for sledding, snowmen, snowfights, snow forts, etc.
