Like most people I paint from a regular office chair, hunched over my work surface with no back support at all. I've been thinking about switching to a kneeling chair (they can be bought for less than 100 dollars these days whereas they used to cost upwards of 200.)

Does anyone use one? I'm concerned that it will simply end up transferring the strain from my back to my knees.

I built a raised painting table so i dont have to lean over quite so far.

I used to have one and it worked just fine. However, mine didn't have the back support peice that the ones you linked have so ymmv. I did like it, but after a few hours I had to get up, return blood flow to my ankles and let me lower back stretch out. Having a raised desk would help alleviate the lower back issue though.
