I want to build my wife a SoB army that is actually worth playing against the current codices. As such I'm hoping for advice on which dex to use for them & 1500 pt army list suggestions for such.

My first consideration is Blood Angels w/ Tac squads as sisters units, BA Assault squads as seraphim, Death Co as Repentia, DC dreads as PEs, dual HF/HB razorbacks as immolators.

I have about 15 sisters w/ bolters, 2 flamers, 2 meltas, 2 heavy bolters, 2 multi-melta, 5 bp/ccw & I have plans to order the parts to make 20 more sisters so I'm open to advice here please.

So please, make your choice, explain why & if you would be so kind, please post a 1500 pts army list to backup your suggestion. (optional but requested)

I voted Grey Knights, but then realised that was a stupid idea and found that I couldn't take my vote back

Blood Angels is where the models would fit most - the SoB Immolator would make for a nice Baal Predator if converted/painted right
Plus, they could all have lovely blonde locks to look like Sanguinius himself

I vote that you use the Witch Hunters book. Even though it is old it can still hold its own with the newer books, especially given all of the anti psyker stuff they have. I still use them and do well.

It's time to go full Skeletor

I also vote for the old Witch Hunter Codex until a real new Codex is released.

Space wolves due to the shooty aspects although blood angels would work just as well being 'angelic' or what not. Sanguinor would make a good living saint.

I'm running mine as Inquisitorial henchmen from the GK book with carapace armour instead of power armour. It's a deliberate nerf, but I like the feel of it. Plus, at 9pts for 4+ and a boltgun, you can spam those girls in ways your enemies will come to fear. Razorbacks make good Immolators, and it's been suggested to me to use Dread Knight rules for penitent engines. Not sure about that one though.

Use the sisters WD thing its great.

I`ve been using it for a while now and its solid. Yes it may lack the options of a full codex but for it just being an update to the old WH codex it does well. It makes the sisters usable now whereas the old codex point costing is so out of date and the book itself is so old it creaks now everytime i open it.

My honest opinion is to try the WD list and when she kicks your butt with it just enjoy it :-)

Thats why i didnt vote if someone did the counts-as thing with the girls like that the look of derision on my face would tell a story on its own.

I'd vote either the existing Codex/White Dwarf, Grey Knights Henchmen or Codex: Space Marines with Vulkan.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."
