As someone with basic knowledge of 3d design I can say that I am not at all impressed by the dreadnought arms. I will keep an open mind for your future releases though.

As someone with a permanent smile and optimistic outset i'll redefine the design next weekend

@HBMC, well no, its part of the princeps control interface on an imperator class titan, hook it up and itll put the machinespirits in the correct mood. We highly recommend the tune "hammertime" by his most glorious of artisans. Mc Hammer.

I want to be impressed with 3D printing, I really do. I just don't think the technology is quite there yet. :(

To be fair Breotan, if you order the bits in metal, you'll more than likely to something very naughty in your underwear

But to be perfectly clear, this isnt reprap. and we have some design considerations to optimize the printing of details on our "casts".
The other thing, is that our female spirers for a generic 28mm gang warfare wargame set in the future, even impressed us.

If you have well detailed, well prinatble figures that you're capable of selling, why only showcase a few arms that look like you mocked them up in about 30 seconds?

Well that's a valid question, it's because we want to have their accessories done first

ph34r, Keep in mind that these are early renders, the final parts can often look a lot more interesting, especially when painted.

I have a Shapeways store as well: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/objects. i haven't tried to do parts for 28mm infantry, mainly doing spaceships and modern aircraft and naval, but the models have been well received by even the admittedly picky naval collectors. :-)

From my experiments, the current costs of Shapeways materials (especially the 100-micron resolution material) would make it expensive for full 28mm scale, but it is well suited to aircraft scales (1:600, 1:285 (6mm)) and naval scales (1:6000 to 1:2400, maybe 1:1200 for smaller ships). Also, it seems to work well for 6mm (Epic) scale vehicles. See: http://shpws.me/LGC

The materials paint well, and, especially at 100-micron resolution, they look very good (consider, 100 microns is below human visual resolution at game-table distances).

3D printing still has room for improvement, but Shapeways has made it _much_ more affordable and accessible. In some hobbies (like naval minis and model railroads) it has opened up some really interesting new innovations. Also, there is a lot of free software (E.g. I use Blender) which makes it pretty easy for anyone to start making (and selling) their own minis.

    Pardon me.

Suggestions I do have regarding alternate Guardsman weapons if the following:

    - Current Guardsmen weapons are attached to their arms. It's rather difficult to remove. It'd be great if you can provide arms as part of the weapon. Bonus points if you can combine the guns wit your bionic arms.
    - Guardsmen seem to look tremendusly out-of-place when equipped with solid-ammunition rather than the classic lasgun designs. If you could make the automatic rifles with a lasgun-tip, that'd be a long way towards a great item.
