6 Scarabs xx
3 Wraiths 125
2 - whips tails
Heavy support
1 Monolith xxx
totaal 1744
Explanation
Akrazyn will fly around on his bronze sky chariot, hopefully popping some tanks and taken over others^^
The necron lord will join the lychguard for some chopping fun (have not used them before...)
The veil cryptec joins the immortals for some flying circus shooting
The HOD joins the warriors in the ghost arc.
Necron warriors will stay close to the arc so the arc can regenerate them.
scarabs will do what scarabs do best, eating tanks for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
the wraiths will pick on small left overs.
And last but not least, the monolith, this big center piece will probs start in the center of my army unless there will be enough space for him to DS behind enemy lines (small chance... but hey, a man can dream^^)
So, like my previous list, please criticise and comment awayyyy!

Edit: forgot to mention that i will be playing against black templars (old vs new )
I have no clue what list he will be playing.
Edit 2: spelling errors

Is Akrazyn some bizarre hybrid made of Trazyn the Infinite and Anrakyr the Traveller, you came up with? Or is it just a horrible misspell?

I'm also a necron player, and i played a game using scarabs as AT. Now what i can say is that they will EAT a tank easy, but seeing your list seems close combat oriented against BT, I would say they're a no go. Troops will eat through lychguard and scarabs because of High Initiative and they're number will overwhelm 5 lychguard easy. I would suggest using destroyers instead for they're mobility and gauss cannons, although nerfed, will tear through power armor and make quick of any troops, field a couple of heavy destroyers in the squad and you have AT. Warriors will persist as you said, I would suggest 2 ghost arks, They are just that good, turn them into a phalanx by placing them one back to the other and broadsiding oncomming troops. That's my opinion, though i don't know how good lychguard are in practice yet, Would be nice to have a battle report of this. Keep em coming.

Since Anrakyr can have a court too, you might consider swapping the other Overlord for Destroyer Lord.
If you do that -> dump the 5 ineffective Lychguard, for 3 more Wraiths and put all 6 in unit with Destroyer Lord, add some goodies like more Whipcoils, 2+ armor on lord and Mindshackle Scarabs, and you will have much more deadly CC unit. Guaranteed to wreck some havoc on the battlefield.

I think you are right about the lychguard, but i will keep them in my list, the reason being that I want to play test them.
And in mathhammer they are pretty damn decent, against normal st 4 attacks you need 18 attacks to down 1 lychguard before RP rolls.
So even against black templars i don't think they will fail that hard. Another plus in the unit are the shackle scarabs ofcourse^^
The scarabs are great but yeah, saving the 180 from them and putting 3 heavy destroyers in won't be that a bad idea. Automatically Appended Next Post: Herr Dexter wrote:Since Anrakyr can have a court too, you might consider swapping the other Overlord for Destroyer Lord.

The necron lord ain't a overlord^^
Have you played yet with lychguard? (i'm really curious how they are working out for necron players) , cause i hear everyone saying they are so bad but many players only say that cause they have in2 and not from playing experience.

Tought you had 2 HQs
Anyway, still - you can dump the Lord and take one more HQ -> Destroyer Lord
Throwing out Lychguard will give you points needed for nice DL upgrades and more Wraiths with coils.
And it's going to be much more efficient than those Lychguards.
Advantages of 6 Wraiths + Destrolord over Lord+Lychguard:
- Fearless
- Jump Infantry
- More Wounds
- 3+ Inv Save
- Overall more attacks made...
- Easier to move on the battlefield
What Lychguard have, that mentioned setup doesn't?
- Shields -> lower Inv than Wraiths and special effect that hardly has a chance to do anything
- Reanimation Protocols, yap Wraiths don't.
But let's not get on RP high horse - having unit that kills enemy before they can hurt it is better than unit that can raise from the dead (which is not guaranteed anyway).
Don't forget about I2 on Lychguards - they have to survive to be able to fight back, even if they charge... And Wraiths will almost allways strike first, even if they are assaulted...
PS: I assume you have box of 5 Lychguard and none of us have new Wraiths yet anyway - so feel free to field them as you wish - they are not a terribad unit
But in the future - think of getting 6 Wraiths. It will be worth it!

Well I agree with your pro's and con's but you did forgot the tough 5 on the lychguard^^
Wraith are a really, really good unit and i have plenty of old ones to put 6 in a unit. but those lychguard look so shiny!!
I think lychguard have another purpose then wraith, they match (according to mathhammer) to termies TH/ SS.
But getting back to my question, have you tried them yet?
