FYI Hobbycraft announced on Facebook and Twitter yesterday that there will be 25% off vouchers in national news papers tomorrow and Saterday.

Edit: looks like it it saterday and sunday.

Do you know which papers Paul?

They've been doing this allot recently meaning that I have been grabbing FoW goodies which they have already reduced by 20% to clear, meaning 40%.

Pretty much all the UK major papers.

Then somebody missed it when they cleared out Necrons and baneblades a few months back then. Mostly Warriors and Destroyers.

Their clearance shelves often hold quite good finds and when you can get 25% off of clearance rates then your laughing!

Also for those that don't know sign up for their newsletter and get £5 off £25 vouchers. Best thing is you can print as many as you like and buy in £25 chunks. When they run out cancel the newsletter and reapply. I usually have half a dozen tucked in me wallet.

It is The Sun, Mirror, Mail, Express, Guardian, Times, Telegraph, Independent, Star, Evein Stanit. Apparently one tomorrow and sunday. I'm off to buy a paper so will let you know how long they last later.

I knew I wanted to save that paper for something. Does anyone know if the 25% voucher can be used in combination with the £5 voucher?

I doubt it being used in conjuction with another voucher.

I certainly intend to try, but having been into the wolverhampton and Northampton stores today I didn't find anything I wanted (I was hoping for lots of FoW stuff but found little).

I'm going to ponder my options for a week then go and load up on enough supplies to last me until next year, possibly even the WFB book.

Neat idea, but I only want a single box, so would only save £5. It will cost that much in petrol

Also don't hobbycraft charge the higher end of pricing so you're probably better off getting them online anyway?

They pretty much charge RRP for most things and stock isn't always the newest. You can still get the old version of the chimera in some stores which is quite good.

On the upside they hava allot of hobby supplies and always have 3 for 2 on glues. Add to that the vouchers you can often get they can be quite void value for money. They also have a clearance section which is worth keeping an eye on, I got a Baneblade for £30 odd, for example with vouchers on top.

This current 25% off everything coupon is very good, you will struggle to get that off GW even online.

Yes some of the clearance stuff is great, I picked up the Lord of the Rings rulebook for £4 for example.

Although I went to a new Hobbycraft store that had opened a couple of weeks ago. Didn't sell any wargaming stuff (FoW or GW) and not even any train modelling things, which I usually use for terrain building. I don't know whether it's because it was a new store, or it could be that Hobbycraft is going to stop selling that kind of thing, which would be a great shame! :(

Yeah, I saw that but then i swung by one this morning and splurged a bit.

Getting FoW Open Fire! for just over a tenner and 5 x Sherman 76's for £20 was pretty sweet but that was all they had other than tons of russian stuff which even I dont want at 60% of RRP!

I nearly crumbled and bought the WHFB rulebook but will ponder that till sunday (I have another coupon!).

Had to dig through the recycling to find a paper with the voucher in but knocked £20 of my xmas shopping today thanks for the heads up guys.
