I am thinking of starting Necrons soon but I don't know what has been proven to be good yet. I see too many fast attack and Transports etc to want to just get some old random thing and I wanna start off by foot soldiers only until I decide how I wanna run the list.

I am thinking going with Imotekh with Lots of Flayed ones and maybe stuff like Wraiths and Deathmarks as the base of the army.

What would you guys suggest I get for it?

Warriors warriors warriors oh ya and an overlord. The storm lord is ok but way too much of a gimick.

If you are going to run Foot Warriors, then there only seems to be one way that has really worked out so far. You can Check out Reecius Battle reports, but Deploying them in Large Squads (20) With a Ghost Ark for support, and a Overlord with Phaeron, An Orb, Mindshackle Scarabs, Scythe, and Shifter seems to be working out pretty well. I always figured Large Squads would just get swept, but it appears if you use good use of your Wargear, it Helps a lot. Reecius has proven it to be pretty effective.

If you are Running Immortals on Foot, then you can run squads of 10. Depending on the Loadout, depends on what you need to give them. If they have Carbines, a Regular lord with an Orb, Scythe, and MSS will do well. If they are running Gauss Blasters, they Need relentless, so Someone with the Phaeron upgrade.

You'll also want some Scarabs in a foot list, to help with your Anti-tank. With Imotekh's Night fighting, they should be able to move up fairly easy across the board. You could also do 9 Canoptek Spyders, on a Foot list as well, These can produce More scarabs, and you can set them up for wound allocation. They are also MCs so they are pretty tough in combat.

Some Wraiths could help out with counter assault, and a Few Destroyers and Heavy Destroyers can help eliminate Marines and Tanks respectively.

As for what to buy, buy a command barge for your hq. make it to an annihilation barge and you get an hq for free. But really warriors or immortals work. Just really make a list and see what you like beyond my one purchase recommendation anything really works as long as you pay attention to synergy.

OK,

Anyone know anything about these new models like Triarchs, and stalkers? I wanna know as well how well the new vehicles are like
Tomb Blades,
Night scythe
Doom Scythe

Anyone using these a lot lately?

Well all of those you have mentionted have no models yet. Night sythe loks good for a delayed unit that can go grab a late game objective but too weak and your models go into reserve if its destoryed to be a strong unit to use all the time.

Doom sythe is really squishy and has a great weapon but has to get way too close to use it.

Last weekend I ran 6 Night Scythes that did really good against nids. Here was my army

Imotek the Storm Lord (225)
Anarykr the Traveller (165)

3 squads of 5 Immortals (85 * 3)
with Gauss Blasters and
Night Scythes as dedicated transports(100 *3)

and 3 squads of Immortals (85 *3)
with Tesla Carbines and
Night Scythes as dedicated transports (100*3)

I thought I was going to be fighting Dark Eldar, so thought this would be cool against them, but it worked well against nids too. The twin-linked tesla destructor worked awesome against his squads, especially when they would bunch up.

As long as you have night fight the doom scythes will make their points back up. You can move 12, start the beam 12 away and then line up the death ray. Its not really short ranged, plus if you have other crazy targets it might not even see a shot depending on the number of scarabs and wraiths you have going full tilt towards them.

From what I've heard, scarab swarms and spyders are the way to go. They shred through vehicles like crazy.

Ultimately if you are going all foot soldiers then I would get warriors and immortals as they provide serious firepower. Figure 2 full squads of warriors get 80 shots per turn and 2 full squads of immortals with guass blasters get 40 shots or with tesla carbines they get 20 shots but the potential of on 6's 3 wounds makes for a miserable day for someone walking across the table . I also as runmymouth stated get the command/annihilation barge as it gives you a overlord and some really nasty fire support. Also I would look at getting some Lychgaurd to bolster your lack of cc and don't forget that with your warriors come swarms of scarabs which my last oppenent found out with his IG love armor for lunch !! If you can make some get some deathmarks and crypteks. I would hold off on flayed ones(I'm not convinced they are all that they should be) and get a Monolith(don't get caught up in the new and shiney LOL). Wraithes if you have older ones will definitly come in handy but they haven't released the new ones yet along with other models so those will have to wait. Good luck and enjoy getting up again and again and just pissing off your oppenent
