I've seen a number of products around that let people run DnD games with the equivalent of an online or virtual tabletop. Stuff that keeps track of positions, dice rolls, etc. I wanted to know if there is anything that works for Shadowrun?

There's a few that can do it, I think. Just look for 'virtual tabletops' and go from there. You might need to do more work yourself, though...

You could drop by the S-Run community's IRC channel and ask around. I think most people there are just using IRC and a dicebot, but you never know.

Maptool is an open source virtual tabletop that I imagine could work well for any system. It can handle square grids or hexes.

I think Kloogewerks may have had a module for SR... I haven't sued it in years, though.

That's a very GW slip of the tongue/keyboard... I assume you're not bragging about your litigious nature but instead meant used.
Whatever works for D&D systems (other than the official D&D tabletop if that ever came out) should work for shadowrun with a bit more work. Most of those systems let you import small pics for characters and maps. I don't know if I'm imagining a market for something that doesn't exist but I'm surprised no one has made something like a virtual tabletop for the indie channel on xbox live. Every tabletop gamer I know except one has either a PS3 or Xbox, both of which have integral voice chat. I'd definitely sink a few bucks into a program like that over xbox live. I suspect that the closed playground that Microsoft keeps would not allow for uploading custom maps and pics which would limit the graphical options to whatever the xbox camera could capture.
