what is wrong with this picture?

- The plusses are the wrong way around on the Sgt's Jump pack?
- A blonde-haired raven guard?
- ITS ONLY A TWO MAN SQUAD, AND THEY'VE TAKEN THE PLASMA PISTOL UPGRADE!!!!???

The hair it should be black here look:

The hair colour is wrong. Skin colour slightly off.
The SW rune and wolf teeth on his belt are a touch odd but i wouldn't that's wrong.

Yeah, it's a pretty common kitsbash. The Cadian Sergeant head doesn't look bad at all for a PA Marine.

As for spotting the problem...

I see two.
1) That this is in 40k Background.
2) The hair is a pale blond rather than black. Raven Guard are one of the few Chapters where you will not actually see a variety of flesh tones and hair colors.

The grenades are blue on one dude and green on the other.

The marine on the right is left handed.

Yes but those crosses match the emblem on the other marines knee.

It was already answered. It's the sergeant's hair.

Having said that, the fluff does say it's a gradual process. Maybe he's just not old enough yet. Or dyes his hair. Or once barely survived a one-to-one battle with a Tyranid Beauticiafix, which has peroxide for blood...
