I like the rules for Flayed Ones, but hate the models and the idea that they 'wear' skin to every battle. I would like to run them simply as close combat warriors.

I like the look. I'd personally want to drape some green stuff skin on them, but for what you are going for (i.e. not covered in skin) you seemed to have nailed it. What did you use for the claws? It almost feels like it's missing something tho, not the skin mind you. Maybe if you could bend the legs into a more hunched position like the old flayed one models to give them a more feral look that they are known for?

That's an interesting base, what is it?

The claws are Dark Eldar wych blades, and the resin base is supposed to be a dock, I believe, with wooden planks and supports.

Are you going to add flesh using green stuff or such? I do not think it would be that difficult to do and still look 10x better than the finecast ones.....

I like it, even without flayed skin hanging off it looks great.

Given a few more hunches/crouched/pouncy poses a squad of those would wipe the floor with the finecast models.

I really like what you've done here. I also hate the new flayed ones so i think this is a massive improvement on the GW ones.

The pose is pretty good too. Looks like hes about to snip some poor sods head off with that left claw. A few in crouched or pouncing poses would really compliment your style of flayed ones.

I like it, totally agree that a Flayed One doesn't absolutely have to be draped in flesh. You still have the option of painting it as drenched in blood if you want to

My only concern modellingwise is that those new elbow and hand joints are going to be very fragile. Not sure what you could to to change that though...
