It is still all over the place. I will offer a few quick fixes as I'm sure more ork players can chime in on other areas.

10 nobs is often overkill and I can only assume you plan to run them in that trukk. Not such a smart idea considering bolter fire could essentially take 1/3 of your army out of the game. Foot slogging those nobs with no cover or KFF is bad.

It is often, I should say always, a bad idea to mix different speeds with orks. Essentially you have your army arriving in 3 waves. Trukk/wagon, walkers, troops which makes it easy for your enemy to deal with your army one step at a time. You want to hit at the same time! It's the ork way.

Honestly your load out on your kans is not effective. Since you can only shoot at one target you have 3 different ranges and strengths in your kans. Always pick one weapon per squadron. I prefer rokkits or grotzookas,

Zogwart really doesn't fit in this list what so ever. Hopefully this doesn't sound too harsh but I think most people will agree. Keep at it and good work onyour second try.

I agree with the above comments.

With the very small exception of Zogwart who can actually be fun and almost competitive. Not sure whether you thought people would agree about Zogwart or the rest of your comments

Don't get me wrong Zogwart is a great and a fun character, I merely said he may not work as well in this list as say a regular warboss. As the boss makes nobs troops and is a little cheaper in points. He will also mesh better with a boys unit or even the nobs to make a serious death star.

But ya Zogwart is still awesome and can even shift a game in your favour if you are able to turn the enemies HQ boss intoa squig.

Zogwart isn't overly competitive as he is so random.

He can however be a very good edition to an army and be very fun to play. Can he be competitive? Yes from time to time. Luck of the rolls for sure. Will he help you do things that you wouldn't normaly be able to do? Yes for sure. So give him a go and see what he can do for you.

My only problem with him is I lose that spot for as Mek or Boss. Whom I think do abit more for your army.

atm i have 30 slugga boys, converted zogwort, 20 shoota boyz 10 nobz an extra one with powerklaw and waagah banner and a painboy i also have the warboss with attack squig, looted wagon boomgun, big mek with kff, 3 kans with stated weapons, a battlewagon with killkannon and a trukk. i have about £150 and i need about £30 of that for paints, so i have about £120 to play with this month can spend more no problem can anyone spend the time to help make me a list from what i have and more i will need to buy? i apreciate all your time guys, thanks a bunch

I would decide what type of army you are going for. Do you want a horde or boys? A bunch of trukks/BW? A line of killa kans protecting waves of boys? You don't have any bikes so no sense going that route.

You need to decide what build suits your play style and what models you like the most.

If you decide to do kans make sure you make 3 kans ALL WITH THE SAME WEAPON. I can't stress this enough. Scratch build if you have to. Rokkits are likely the best choice but if you like you could have one squad of grootzookas.

If you like the bw then you need about 3 of them and about 60 boys.

One thing any list can use is Lootas. Depending on your pts I'd have 10-15 of them or even more. I usually convert one of my big shootas to a deffgun as the loota box only comes with 4 which makes it a terrible number to work with. The mek in the box is somewhat useless so I converted mine to a KFF mek with random bits.

I have 3 bikes already from the battleforce and have always loved playing bikes from when i originally played chaos.bikes about 3 4 years ago before i stopped, if i did bikes i would definatly think if converting wazzdakka gutsmek which would aslo make bikes troop choices... Hmm i could buy another teo sets of kans brjnging my total up too 9 scratch build gutsmek and buy some more bikes? How many bikes too a squad and how.many squads would i take though? Sordy to be a pain

Well if you are doing bikes then you probably don't want kans in there too.

Squad of bike ar one of those big debate issues. How many is enough, how many is too much? It really all depends. If you plan on assaulting with bike the bigger the squads the better. if you only want them as mobile fire support then a smaller squad of 5 or so would be worth it. Wazzdakk really isn't the greatest of characters. What he does is gives you bikes for troops. Him by himself is not great. He is only a Mek after all. Nice conversion possibilities though.

First things first.....everyone got distracted by a slight topic change, so: Your nobs NEED bosspoles! Sacrificing a wound for a re-roll on a failed morale test is almost priceless....but in 40k it's 5 points.

10 nobz can often be overkill, as can 4 PK's. You also don't need 5 BC's. Nobs as is will make 5 attacks at S5 on the charge. If you're running nobz, you're doing yourself an injustice without wound shenanigans.

Painboy
PK, WB, BP
PK, SS(shoota/skorcha)
PK
BC, SS
BC, TL-shoota
BC
SS
'eavy armor
regular stock nob

All with CBB, that's 415 points. I often run 10 myself, dealing with CSM and SW and 20 genestealers with some of the guys I play against, but smaller units around 6 are fine too.

Use wound allocation to your advantage. I've assaulted and killed a demon prince and 5 CSM, leaving 5 CSM and taking 5 wounds, losing no nobz, just to wipe the rest of their squad in THEIR phase, and be ready to assault berserkers after. Use the shenanigans.

Now, to be a jerk, I'm going to point out that any unit could be considered competitive if its making great rolls, but banking on rolls is not a competetive way to play.

Zogwort is not competetive, but he can be effective with the right rolls, which is not saying much, because the same can be said of any unit. Zogwort isn't cost efficient when other HQ choices can benefit you more.

As said, don't mix speeds. Concerning mechanized, the nob trukk will be popped on turn 1, and they'll get picked apart while slogging.

Why does the battlewagon have a killkannon? It is a transport. The killkannon is inferior to a boomgun and is more expensive to field. The wagon can only transport 12 with it. If it's transporting, no 'ard case. You can't assault after disembarking unless the vehicle is open topped. For that matter, no boarding planks on the looted wagon. It loses transport capacity with the boomgun, so it's a waste of points.

Kanz in a squadron should be armed similarly, as stated......

And you don't want kanz mixed with mechanized.

I see armies operating at two speeds. Mechanized and foot slogging. Ork armies have a need to strike completely and simultaneously so they can overwhelm the enemy in a cohesive assault. If your army is split between two waves, you have voluntarily balkanized your force to your opponent's advantage. He gets to focus his complete strength on the faster part of your army, and after destroying it, then concentrate on the remainder.

Warbikes are fantastic, but are slightly pricy, which is why I take them as support and not a staple. Marine players flinch when they lose a terminator, and at 25 points, I do the same with warbikers. They're too costly to assault PW units so any terminator squads, or GK in general are out of the question. That's what boyz are for.

Now, I'd like to point out that I'm just sharing my knowledge, wisdom, experience, and opinions with you. I don't want any of this coming across as harsh or anything. Have fun and slaughter!

In general, I hope the critique helps when selecting units for whatever you decide to field, but you should make the choice: green tide, kan wall, or mechanized. This gives the basic structure for most ork armies.
