Dear all,

I just finished a few of my Chaos Space Marine Models. The legion/army is Hakanor's Reavers from the Codex suggestions, lead by the Daemon Prince Hakanor. Their trademark are the "molten lava cracks" in armor pieces, so I tried to tie my models together by putting these molten lava on at least a part of each model.

So here they are, tell me if you like them or not and why

I love the effect on the LR, it looks great! And I like the way you have carried it over on the Nurgle DP's shoulder pauldrons. Nice work all round,

I really like the look of that LR. The fire looks great! Are you going to drill out the tips of the TL Heavy Bolter? Also, is that an Aquila on the front door of the LR?

The Mephiston and Daemon Prince are finely painted, too. They need basing, though.

Overall, wonderful paint jobs on these, man.

And drill out the heavy bolters on the LR ( which is the stand out model imo)

I haven't done the basing yet cause I'm gonna do it in one go for the whole army. The same goes for the aquila, I'm still not sure what to do with it. Scratching it with a cutter, replacing the eagles with a skull... any suggestions?

Thanks for the hint with drilling out the heavy bolter muzzles! I didn't think of that and will do it for sure

I really really like the Daemon Prince and Land Raider, Typhus is good as well but for me just doesn't look quite as striking.

I'm glad you like it. I'll take pics of my Vindicator and a Rhino, too and post them. They're painted in the same "molten lava" style.

Hmm, maybe I should take another pic of Typhus when I get home from work - this time from the backside. The thing I like most about him is the insect hive on his back and you don't see it properly in that pic.

How fun was that scheme to paint? You did it better than I did, however. What else do you have done?

Oh, it is really fun to paint, a lot of effort, though. To make the Lava Cracks glow properly I have to layer 5 colour tones - less just doesn't give the effect I wanted.
