Sup bud. The book being referred to was carried at our local GW: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat710003a&prodId=prod1390179a
Lynch has, like your typical codex/army book the first half is fluff and background while the other has some rules and units for a mixed chaos host.

It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Are you talking about the allied army lead by the "Paragon"? Is there a point limit, or what we'd realistically field?
I've givin quite a bit of thought to putting together a nurgle host useing my extra WoC/DoC stuff. Plus it'll give me a good excuse to get some of those sweet beastmen minis.
But I'd like to field a 3k army from each of Warriors/Beasts/Demons, and use the bile troll/war mammoth/plague toad units, and the Befouled SC.

i was thinking of warriors fighting next to bloodletters with the HoK. then using some of the chaos dwarf war machines to up the shooty level. Automatically Appended Next Post: were doing a 2v2 at my local gw.. heres a start
Lord - 365pts
Sorcerer Lord -MoT -Lvl 4 -Enchanted Shield -Talisman of Preservation
-Power Familiar 365 -Tzeentch Lore
Hero - 115pts
Herald of Khorne -BSB -Armor of Khorne 115
Core - 1018pts
40 Bloodletters -Full Command 510
24 Chaos Warriors -MoT -Shield -Full Command 434
14 Mauraders -Flails -Musician 74
Automatically Appended Next Post: just wanted to see what would, might work Automatically Appended Next Post: my team mate is running bm with a herdstone and a beastlord for the general

I'm his partner. This is the list I ran with some success when we played our last 2s game:
Lord - 257pts
Beastlord -Armor of Destiny -Great Weapon -Shard of the Herdstone 257
Hero - 356pts
Wargor -BSB -Beast Banner -Gnarled Hide -Shield -Heavy Armor 206
Bray Shaman 75 -Shadow Lore
Bray Shaman 75 -Shadow Lore
Core - 383pts
41 Gor -FC -AHW 353
5 Raiders -Muscian 33
Special - 501pts
38 Bestigor -FC -Standard of Discipline 501
Total - 1500
I think a unit of horrors with a Herald of Tz would be good in his list to park near the herdstone with Master of Sorcery he could go light or life and they would be generating 2 extra power dice from the herdstone (1 for the horrors and 1 for the HoT), but the core was just so expensive. The 40 bloodletters are a lot but the extra 10 are a buffer to take losses and still attack with devestating max attacks that first round. And his level 4 is a must IMO for the dispeling, and the Lore of Tz is just so good and with the +5 to cast he can 2 dice most of his spells. Maurauders were just left overs, he needs 3 units to make it legal and 3 flamers just would not fit. Might be able to trim a few chaos warriors.

If they let you use the Throne of Chaos Paragon rules for your 2v2, sweet.
Only thing is, the BSB must come from the paragon's army book, so no demonic BSB for a WoC paragon, and you are only allowed one, so if your buddy's list counts a part of the paragon, he can't take one at all.
The up side to all that, is yall have a 3k (assuming 1500 points per side) list to split between you. All you need is a Hero from each Army Book to open up the options from it.
@jlynch799: The lists look pretty balanced as is. I's just swap the marauders for 2 units of 5 hounds. That gives you some faster screening/charge lane blockers.
Also means you'd have to switch the BSB to a WoC hero.
@Hargus56: For the Beastmen list; not sure. I don't know a lot about Beasts.
But, if you're going the paragon route, you'd have to drop the BSB. That would let you pick up another bray-shaman, and add some kit to all 3.
If your buddy swapped the Bloodletters for horrors, yall would for sure own the magic phase. Only down side is the both of the opponents armies would be gunning for the unit containing the herdshard. All yall would really have to protect the shard would be the Warriors, and the Horde of Gors or bestigors (depending on where yall placed the BM w/shard).
Chaos Warriors and Bestigors are boss, but aren't going to hold off the opposing 3k army on their own. I'd keep the BL, that adds more CC threats to yall's armie, and keeps it more balanced.
@ Both: I'd sit down and build a list together useing the Throne book with the Paragon limitations in mind.
It wouldn't be too hard to squeeze in a Magma Cannon or Death Shrieker and the required Deamonsmith, who is also another lv.1 for the shard.

I haven't looked at the Tamurkhan myself but they are using the rules Allied Armies/Grand Alliance rules in the rulebook. Therefore there is one Supreme Commander that would be the main general with the 24inch bubble, this would be the Beast Lord for the Ld10 when in the Bestigor with the Standard of Disc. Since each army cannot benefit from the others BSB both could have one. If the rules you are saying are only 1 is allowed it would probably stay with the Beastmen as the Gor need that Beast Banner for S4 and he could drop the BSB on his herald. And the shard is not a unit it's a piece of terrain that is placed after sides are chosen but before deployment, my level 1 shamen would be parked around it generating 2 dice before channeling every turn. His Sorc Lord would be in with the Chaos Warriors. It would be great to fit in a small unit of horrors with a Herald of Tz with Master of Sorcery with light or life but I just don't see it happening unless we trimmed the warriors down. Maybe something like this:
Lord - 365pts
Sorcerer Lord -MoT -Lvl 4 -Enchanted Shield -Talisman of Preservation -Power Familiar 365 -Tzeentch Lore
Hero - 240pts
Herald of Khorne 100
Herald of Tzeentch -Master of Sorcery 140
Core - 894pts
35 Bloodletters -Full Command 450
16 Chaos Warriors -MoT -Shield -Full Command 306
11 Horrors -Musician 138
Total - 1499
He would lose the BSB reroll but would be getting the Ld10 of the Beastlord, it's hard to be out of the 24inch bubble. With chaos warriors and bloodletters it would be tough to lose combat anyway. The HoT and Horrors plus the 2 shaman would generate 4 power dice being near the stone, add in 1 for the familiar then 5 mages channeling and we'd be hitting 12 power dice easy, He might be good dropping the familiar for Blood of Tzeentch to prevent IFs and allow casts he 2 dices and rolls a natural 3 or below. The loss of the warriors is a hit but if his HoT goes life he good use regrowth to bring them back.

Nice plan. Sorry, I don't know too much about the allies rules fomr the BRB.
I also thought the shard was a magic item carried by the BM. Being a terrein piece sohuld make it easier for multiple units with wizards to hang around it.
With all the extra PD, maybe drop the power fimiliar for a Disc? You could use the mobility to hang out near the shard for the extra PD when needed, but also be able to fly around to cast flames/gateway where it's needed, and it'd make easier to avoid combat.
