This list is probably absolutely horrible but it is what I am running.

Laugh away

HQ Total = 130pts

Company Command Squad = 130 pts.
3 x Meltagun, Vox – caster, Power Fist,
Master of the Fleet

Troops Total = 600pts

5 x Veteran Squad = 600 pts. (120 pts per squad )
Each Squad
Power Fist, 3 x Meltagun, Vox-Caster

Fast Attack = Total = 1110pts

2 x Vendetta Gunship Squadron ( 3 each Squadron ) = 720 pts. ( 360 pts. Per Squadron )

Valkyrie Assault Carrier Squadron = (3 in the Squadron ) 390pts
3 x Two Multi Rocket Pods

Total = 1840pts

Sure I could add a Plasma Pistol to my commander or maybe an autocannon to a squad but I decided not to, may change mind later not sure lol

Anyways
Cheers

Is this Better? I honestly did not see any problem with the way it was posted the first time nor did I think I posted it any different then the way Other people had posted theres. But I do not want to offend any post trollers lol

...This is both absolutely hilarious and potentially incredibly awesome. Remember to play Ride of the Valkyries in the background whenever you use this list.

You've got plenty of mobility and a s***load of firepower, but you can't soak up a lot of return fire. You're a little low on anti-infantry, maybe take some plasma or flamers in the Veteran squads or switch one of the Vendetta squadrons for a normal Valkyrie squadron; then use your superior mobility to fling your stuff against weak flanks. So long as you aren't playing against Dark Eldar and you remember to be cautious, it should play like a mechanized Eldar army.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Good Luck.

I've seen this done once before (at least very similar) and the only real drawback (aside from not being very resiliant) is while embarked you can only target three enemy units a turn.

It looks awesome on the table though.

This list looks fun as hell. But I do recommend more flamers. Because come on. Who doesn't like the smell of Promethium in the morning? It smells like... victory.

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

Could you please explain your MO? Because I see a ton of meltaguns, powerfists, and an ungodly amount of aircraft, but I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do

Its a Army intent on using a ton of Valkyrie and Vendettas... No other real point. The troops and HQ ride into battle on airships rather then tanks. As far weapons on troops... could not see anything better, we except maybe the flamer unites.

Ya I really thought about using a ton of flamers instead of meltas, and I will most likely run a few by the time I am done. I have 3 Hell Hounds I may put in instead too at some point for just that reason lol

When you post your lists for dissection here the total points value and costs of the individual units are fine to list, but please refrain from listing the cost of each and every upgrade.

So

10 Marines
Heavy bolter
Flamer
Powerfist XXX points is fine.

What we don't want is

10 Marines YY points
Heavy bolter YY points
Flamer YY points
Powerfist YY points.

This applies for vehicles, psychic powers, extra weapons etc etc.

If in doubt, leave it out.

Thank you.

Please refrain from using this kind of language : 'dicks', as it is rude and disrespectful to all the people that work at games workshop in the way you have used it.

Sorry BlkTom, did not know you were a moderator of the forums.. because if your not then why are you on here spamming a forum post looking for opinions / showing what army they want to play.

If it was an issue, then someone from Dakka Dakka would have

1 - Closed the forum and asked me to correct it before re-posting it
2 - sent me a private message asking me to correct it.
( Forum Moderators are typically more professional and seldom make post calling everyone idiots like you did, that was why I am thinking your not a real moderator, because I think Dakka Dakka is more professional then that kind of childish act)

If you are a forum moderator then I apologize.

If you are just some show off in here tossing your weight around as a rules lawyer then shut the heck up and dodge on out of this topic and go troll someone else. Your not helping the topic of providing any info on it other then being a troll and trying to be rude. Thanks and have a great day.

I understand the forum has rules and when I first posted it I had just cut and dragged from a clip board were I had been working the list up. I did not think to much on the points in the list because I did not see any issue... Mainly because the other boards I visit have no such rule as the one you are claiming is such a threat to Dakka Dakkas existence. I have since corrected it and moved on.

My little jab at trollers is nothing serious, nor should it be taken to heart. We are a Gaming Community on here and this is the Internet World. Calling someone a Troller is far less insulting and condescending then calling them an idiot or ignorant.

Okay I hope that ends the issue and we can now return to having a Army conversation and keep on Forum Topic

Thanks

You're confusing 'ignorance' with 'not being a backseat moderator.'

Now, seeing as the whole list is oriented towards an air assault... I agree with a previous poster that you may wish to include more anti-infantry. Every single squad is kitted-up for anti-tank work, and it is trivially easy to get them in melta-range. You may wish to consider either kitting out half or so of the troops with flamers (even taking them as infantry squads rather than vets?) and/or replacing another three Vendettas with Valkries.

With the monies saved from de-grading some people to flamers, why not include an Astropath? Seeing as you can either deep strike, scout, or outflank, if you plan on outflanking at all then an Astropath would probably be worth it.

And dude... you get a thousand internets if you make your guys look like Elysian Drop troops, as this is one of the few lists that can accurately represent them. (If you don't want to fork out a ton for metal Elysians but you can spend some, try getting Cadians and piggyback off of someone else's Forge World order and order some Elysian Drop Troop heads!)

Cheers!

Ya I have already started the flamer switch hehe painted 6 new ones last night. Going to replace one melta in each squad with a flamer hehe. Loved the post about napalm in the morning hehe.

Mainly had so many meltas in the list to combat the 6 Grey Knight armies that are running around here were I live lol

Ya Astropth looks like a great idea too, so he is coming into the list now lol

Did not think about the Elysians!!! Great idea there. I am making a Forge order in March to get my 9th hydra tank so I will look into getting them and re fitting a bunch of troops, that sounds like a fun upgrade. I do not care for the old models cause they are very limited in posses and looks lol. At this point I might have myself two imp armies one Elysian Airforce army and one Cadian ground pounder army lol

I am all excited about the possibilities at this point

Question is would it be better to just get the forge models or just the heads. The bodies look similar but are different too... hummmm will have to ponder on this one.

I'm glad you like the Elysians idea! Honestly it just comes down to how much money you want to spend. The Forge World Elysian models look great, especially with their weapons (bullpup lasrifles and underslung grenade launchers!), but with some extra bitz, creativity, and a bit of greenstuff you could achieve a very similar look with cadians + the forge world helmets.

I know if I was running a list like yours, I'd get a job just so I could afford all of it! It'd be so worth it, coming into the LGS with a unique and flavourful army

For future reference, while your zeal is commendable, a more appropriate action would have been to simply hit the mod alert button and let us deal with it, rather than flinging insults around at everyone who was choosing not to cause a scene in the forum.

Qorbane, please note that the forum rules do indeed ask for you to not post individual points costs for every item on the list. That's not just us being difficult, it's to help us avoid running afoul of GW's legal department. Please keep this in mind for future posts.
