Did anyone else come to this thread hoping to see 30,000 points of space wolves like I did?

Sadly it didn't pan out that way but nevertheless your Wolves look great, the dulled paint scheme combined with the sharp snow bases add a nice contrast which I bet looks nice on the table top... especially so if their were 30,000 points worth of them on said tabletop.

I'm also really digging the (old school?) melta guns by the way

The best thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's far too late to stop reading it.

Uuups, sorry - did not realise that the header is misleading!
30K points would be totally anathema for me, I really dislike big battle games...

The Melta is from FW.

Shame, I think the game really shines when 2 players go at it with 3-4k of painted models

to each his own though

Excellent work! I really like the grey that you achieved on the armor. Would you be willing to share the paint recipe?

Great work. I'm just starting on 30k era Ultramarines myself so I find your work particularly inspiring.

I also clicked on this blog hoping for a million little wolves. Maybe change it to preheresy spacewolves? Though none of that hcanges the fact that theses are very well painted and you should be proud

Paint recipe:
Figures are based black, armour is painted Vallejo Black Grey (70682), all the details are painted and the whole mini gets a thinned down army painter dark shade painted on.
After that some MIG pigments on the legs and here and there.
Then MIG Pigment fixer, makes also everything Matt.
Then highlights, Black grey again and more and more Vallejo Medium Sea grey (70870).
Final highlights pure white.

Done!

Great miniatures, but even more amazing paintjobs. Your metal effects are top notch, especially the rusted joints on the armor. Would love to face these on a tabletop.

Great contrasts between dark and light, and yes, I was expecting ALOT of points worth of SW. This was still, impressive.
