Hello fellow nerds and gamers!

I've always wanted to make an "everything goes here" blog, but never did. As some may or probably may not know, I've started a CSM army some months ago. Additionally I have loads of other things lying around. I'll be focusing on those in this blog, but will continue with my CSMs whenever I feel like!

I'll paint some Yu Jing Infinity first and maybe some Blood Bowl (Orcs) and Warmachine (Retribution) later, though anything may come

I was started Infinity some month ago with a friend, but we never played and didn't really paint a lot of stuff.... maybe Starcraft 2 is a tiny bit of a reason for this Still, I really like the models and fluff of Infinity! They are so nicely modeled and you don't need a whole lot of them. I won't have to paint 50+ models for a decently sized army, but 10-20 - that's awesome! Hopefully I'll find some way to connect all the different units to look like an army or a wargang But too much thinking never helps! (at least not in arts )

Anyway, enough of the talk, onto the pictures! I started with a Celestial Guard, mainly because I had some pretty nice concept for him in mind. I wanted him very very dark grey-blackish with glowing blue between the armor and eyes. In the end he turned out a bit different that I intended him to be, but I am still very pleased with how he looks! I am especially proud of the base. This was my very first succesful blending of really light colors. Hence I'm really happy, it turned out so smooth! I was a bit unsure about the electric cables at first but now I really like them! Will see, how that works out with other models... How do you like the glowing effects btw?

Sadly, I am absolutely not able to take decent pictures! They turned out to be a lot worse than what I had hoped for... :( In reality the blendings arre lot smoother and cleaner. He looks a lot less crispy, too! I will take pictures before I varnish next time! Still, I hope you like him!

Is that gw purity seal? I find it leaves a texture like that on my minis.
I like testors dullcoat alot better.

That guy is a badass though. The more painterly Dakkas will say he blends into his base too much. On a city board he might get lost

As long as it's your opponent that loses him, all the better!

I like the look. It's incredibly clean, and I always love the more camo sort of practical look.

Well done."

thank you^^

@jedi76
nope, it's armypainter spray thingy... Maybe for Infinity I'll continue to brush on.... must make a few test runs to see, whether I can get a smooth finish with that...
I know, what you mean, it most certainly looks very similar. Though actually I might have just failed a bit, when adjusting the images haha it's not that bad in reality.

@Chemical Cutthroat
glad you like him I tried this sort of extremely limited palette for the first time and must say, I am quite pleased with it! Especially keeping fluff in mind^^

Actually, I painted the sniperchick that goes along this one, quite some time ago, but never got around sharing her, so here goes:

and both of them together - don't they make a great couple?

And this is some of the stuff left to do.... might take a while though, am more into 40k atm...

Anyways, C&C welcome and ideas for paint schemes for some of the other minis as well, am quite clueless atm :O
