Can anyone identify this miniature for me? It's been sitting in my box for a while, has 1988 on the back of the tab, and I cannot read the front of it for the life of me.

I figured someone here might know what this is.

Thanks in advance!

In addition, would it be worth anything? Sadly I'm not one for old models.

^ Thank you, quickfuze. I was thinking it was a nurgle marine, so I was searching hard for a nurgle sergeant.

Whats a death eagle? Also, they need to bring back chaplain on jetbike. That looks awesome.

As quickfuze said, it's an RT SM chaplain model.

Death Eagle marines were released as a single blister pack (which also found their way into mixed blisters as time passed).

They might have had special rules, but I don't recall them - they were just variant SM, afaik.

Yes RT era models have an almost cult like following for those who collect them. Is it worth much? by itself probably not, but if you go to any large tourneys, they usually make good trade bait.

Gotta love RT minis, some are great.

I believe Death Eagles had slightly different helmets for some reason.

I just think Death Eagles were alternate armor that served to inspire the more "modern" look of Space Marine armor. Pretty sure they were some of the first non-beakie Marines.

nah death eagles were just a marine chapter they only had a hand full of special models as they were the personal homebrew chapter of mark copplestone the sculpter .
in fact almost all of the origonal chapters and special characters were based of studio armys .
