Hey Dakka!

Quick question here.

Lets say i've got a Chaos Lord with helm of many Eyes (ASF and Stupidity)
He also has a Great Weapon.

Will he stike at his normal initiative due to ASL and ASF colliding? Will he still re-roll to hit against lower initiatives?

The way i'm interpreting it he gets to strike at I7 as normal but rerolls against lowr initiatives because the only part of ASF that ASL negates is the "always strikes first" bit, is this correct?

If you read the entry for ASF and ASL you will find they cancle out

They entirely cancel out, so "just" I7

Dont bother with a gw if you give him the helm of many eyes.
Give him another weapon or a halberd so he gets to re roll to hit against most things.

Asf lets him re roll to hit but in order for that to happen he cant have a gw.

Re rolls only work when you are the same initiative or better than what you are fighting and you have asf.

Asf is canceled with the gw.

I agree, Str6 attacks with rerolls to hit is better then Str7 hits at I7.

Its also what 4 points cheaper. Regardless its cheaper and more effective.

meh, 4 points on an expensive model in an expensive army isn't too much of a consideration.

I know but I mean if you are 4 points short of getting another warriors thats that.

But ya still better results and cheaper.

Especially against elf characters they dont get a re roll against you from asf and you may even get to go before some of them. In which case you would usually turn them into powder or smear them all over the battle field.

I agree that with the re-rolls a halberd is better as well. I just wish we had a way to get hatred onto a chaos lord :(

Why re-roll the first round when you can re-roll all the time

He has a point be pretty darn fast all the time or be angry first round.

But hey I mean if he came stock with hatred that would be cool and it makes sense for the fluff because im sure they hate everyone.

Khorne Lords have Frenzy which is better then hatred, especially if combined with helm of many eyes.

Not really comparable they do different things.

Itp and an extra attack sort of pretty awesome. If he dosnt lose then he keeps having itp and the extra attack,

Extra att and rr to hit are very different.
Getting redirected by suicidal redirectors is another suckfest.
