If you could choose which Chapter/Legion would recruit you, what would it be? Whether its a loyalist Chapter, Traitor Legion, or Renegade Chapter is fine. Personally, Blood Ravens would be preferable, but Dark Angels or one of their successors would be nice as well.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.'

I'd say probably Salamanders, seeing as they aren't quite as fanatical/evil as some of the other marine chapters. That and they treat regular humans like actual individuals instead of mere cannon fodder/totally inferior beings.

Probably Dark Angels so I could work my way up to be a member of the Deathwing, the most elite terminators of any chapter. I have always loved their stubborn and intractable nature, and even the secret is cool from a story telling point of view.

Or The Exorcists, seriously, these guys are bar none the most bad of the bad. Their initiation right is GETTING POSSESSED BY A DEAMON AND HAVING IT EXCISED to build resistance to daemonic influences That and they have a pretty awesome paint scheme.

My favorite chapter is the Blood Angels, but eventually I'd get the Black Rage and have to be killed...so my choice is either Blood Ravens or Imperial Fists.

The Ultramarines. Everybody is jealous of them. Don't have to worry about gene seed defects. All of your commanders are military geniuses. I look good in blue.

That, and I hear Ultramar is pretty nice this time of millenium. Can have trouble with pest control from time to time, but small annoyances can be endured.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

As a Space Marine, I would be a Dark Angel because I would totally want to have the cloak-and-dagger, secretive lifestyle.

If I were to be tainted by Chaos, I would want to be a Word Bearer. I heard they caused lots of trouble during the Horus Heresy.

Iron Warriors. Because, y'know, they're Iron Warriors. Warriors. Of Iron.

(I fail at coherency)

Or Red Corsairs. Sure, they're hardly the most awesomely brilliant of chapters, but there's just something about the notion of being a Space Pirate that appeals to me. Maybe an Iron Warrior that defected to the Red Corsairs...?? That'd work!

It would either be the Scythes of Emperor or the Celestial Lions. I just have a thing for forces that were nearly annihilated in a losing battle and are now struggling to rebuild.

If I had to choose Chaos it'd be Iron Warriors. They're the least Chaotic of the traitor legions and have some interesting backstory.

Plenty of opportunity for promotion when all of the leadership gets wiped out. Gotta get your hands on a power fist somehow right?

I don't think Thousand Sons recruit anymore, having been reduced to dust and all, and their Primarch's now a Daemon Prince. I hear they recruit sorcerers though, but they're not 'true' Thousand Sons since they don't have Magnus' gene-seed. The only remaining store of Thousand Sons gene-seed is on Terra, or in the Blood Ravens' gene-banks (if they really are loyalist Thousand Sons, which would explain their pre-disposition to scholarship, Librarians, knowledge, Chapter civil wars over renegade members, etc.).

The only type of chapter that would intrest me is one that isnt ran by idiots, which is none of them. The chapter i would want is one that uses real tactics, not charge the enemy and rely on our plot armor. One that thinks to camoflauge their armor to fit the terrain, rather then bright flashy colors. And they would have to not be arrogant and actually care about regular humans, basically considering themselves humanitys protectors, not its demi gods.

Since there isnt a chapter like this, im going to decline to join, instead Ill stay with the IG.

A quote by a Fire Hawks Chaplain:
The principle is that the enemy cannot kill what he cannot see. This is not the way of the Astartes. A Space Marines armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his chapter and the beloved Emporer of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear.

Once again, Problem?

Actually yes, since by the time you get the whole picture, you'd be centuries-old (then again, all Space Marine officers in any Chapter are centuries-old) and have been proven to be loyal and trustworthy to the secrets of the Unforgiven (with increasing rank and seniority come increasing degrees of knowledge regarding the truth).
