Anyone else have this problem? Badab black smells HORRIBLE.

I airbrushed some onto a model today to darken the paint job slightly, it was a touch bright.... and holy hell the smell nearly killed me. What do they make it out of, dead dog carcass?

It is the worst smelling of the washes... though after I started using them and not huffing them it got better

I bought a thing of it when it just came out... didn't smell bad. Must have changed their recipie.

It's PEOPLE! Badab Black is made out of people. They're making our washes out of PEOPLE!!!!!

Ogryn Flesh smells worse. My Gryphonne Sepia just started reeking too; I think it happens with age.

Clearly you haven't smelled the "Mechrite Red" Foundation paint. It smells like dead ass.

Anyways I think Badass Black (Badab) does seem to reek quite badly. Most of the washes smell pretty bad. But I reckon Devlen Mud is by far the worst, it smells like moldy, dead ass.

How much you wanna bet the washes really smell good, but GW puts the scent of ass in them because they like the smell, and think they are doing their customers a favor.

Wouldn't be surprised, probably have a guy in the factory that farts in every batch, and another who sniffs it to make sure it smells bad enough.

Ok now im really gonna show myself up as the weirdo i am. I quite like the smell of the washes. I will admit they smell feral as hell, but its a smell i kinda like. The Dheneb Stone foundation also smells fairly rank but again its unpleasing to be nose.

So any other freaks out there that are gonna come clean?? No? Ok then im just gonna be over here in my corner.

I agree on Devlan Mud being the worst. And if you're like me and lick your brushes for sharp tip x2, well... it tastes like it smells.

Not too far off Devlan mud to be honest.

lol, to this whole thing. Good job I make my own washes then isn't it, so I don't smell ass while I paint, If I wanted that I'd go work at GW.

I thought GW washes were the worst thing I smelled when dealing with minis then.... EPOXY blah.... Washes really don't seem to smell as bad now.

On topic, I actually stopped using the GW Washes for this very reason.

Out of curiousity I got mine out and had a good sniff... Didn't smell particularly of anything.

Maybe you got a batch where someone relieved themselves (out the back end) into the mixing vat or whatever?

The reason for this as I recall were new EU guidelines.
Basically, washes will go bad after some time.

Almost every wash smells like some kind of a ass. Its part of GW:s finance plan.

My friend always fall for it when they accompany me to buy paints and stuff.

Me: Here, try smelling Devlan Mud.
Her: *sniifs* EEEW IT SMELL LIKES GRAVEYARD MUD MIXED WITH RAT DROPPINGS.

if I ran like GW, my primary concern would be to make sure my products weren't so horrifyingly repelent that they induced vomiting Just saying.

Have you ever smelled Thraka green? Smells worse than badab black. All the washes have a strong scent IMO.
