A long time ago, I was in my local GW when some suggested how awesome a Dreadknight would look with a Warsphinx body on it.
Of course, I was talking to myself and no one believed I could do it. Oh how they were wrong.

...Of course, it's still not finished, but it's finally at a spot where it looks like how I imagined it.

PLEASE give me some C&C as I want to know how bad it really looks. Like the third autocannon hanging of the bottom...

Did you guys know Canada has a friggin desert?

imo it looks really good and has a lot of potential, but...the dreadsphynx needs a bit of tidying up (like you said, the auto cannon) and perhaps the shoulders could be further away from the body as this makes his arms really weak, when of course the rest of his body looks strong! I really like your idea of putting the librarian head too, x5'd the awesomeness!

You're not playing the game like I play it...why aren't you playing the game like I play it?! O_O

Looks pretty sweet, honestly. Only thing I would really do would be cover the autocannons in some plasticard to make it look like one solid piece rather than 3 cannons glued together, it'd really bring the model together.

Other than that arm, it definitely has promise. Cheers!

In your bits box

depending on what faction its for (loyal or other?) id consider if the claw your doing is fitting or not.

Loyalists tend to have some technological reason to shape the things they use and this one does not give the feel that it is engineered. looks more organic or daemonic to me.

Consider replacing it with a dreadnought fist or something more substantial in any case. otherwise i love it. if its chaosy then the big claw from a chaos spawn plastic sprue might be what your looking for.

Excellent work, so far!
I'm assuming it's not totally done, I'd suggest some more work on the shoulders, perhaps some big plasticard shoulderpads?
Also, is there any fluffy explanation for it? Or is it just because of how awesome it looks?
Because it looks pretty darn awesome.

WOW! When I first heard about the new necron book and the rumours of a "Necromancer" dreadnought this is exactly what I imagined!!! Looking great so far!

The Hive Mind

I was thinking of doing an army of Thousand Sons models and using the GK codex... this is a great idea that fits the theme well... I must continue on this line of thought.

Thatnks for the feedback so far.
I agree about the shoulder pads, they do look kinda small on it.

Believe it or not, I actually wanted to turn this into a Blood Angels Death Company Dreadknight....it is now being 'donated' to Nurgle. (pics will follow)

Greetings people!
The long awaited photos that I promised are here. There are more photos, but the only internet access I have is through a tablet pc which I have no idea how to use.

I've also found out that my local GW is having a conversion contest on the 27th, hopefully I can get this finished and entered.

Any helpful ideas on the 'Deamon Cannon' would be much appricated.
More pics will be posted when I work out how to use the Android OS.

Cool stuff, this gives me lots of ideas. I wanted to ditch the baby carrier look and go with a more dreadnought contemptor look. This thread definatly helped : )

So today I went down to my local GW to enter my NugleKnight in the conversion competition. I also entered my other Dreadknight for the fun off it.
First up are the pics of the enteries, the photos were taken on my phone, so of course they're bad quality

Now for the results....drum roll please....
My NurgleKnight did not win...
HOWEVER
My other Dreadknight (the red one) did win 1st place. Not sure how that worked out, but I did win some books, some pretty pictures and a whole pile of spare parts.

The rarefied atmosphere

lol @ the red one using the small base! It probably won because it had paint. I think the grim one is much more creative.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

I love the red Dreadknight... actually makes the model *not* make me want to vomit

No matter how good the unit may be, I could never bring myself to field a Baby-Carrier...
