Yes, it really is that easy.

Even GW did an article like this in WD back in the day (theirs was 3 pieces of 4'x2' not 6 2' squares, though, but the concept and execution is much the same).

No.

Well, yes and no.

As a guy who makes a LOT of terrain (including terrain commissions) the absolutely hardest part is getting started.

So, once you get started, it really is that easy. Yeah, it takes practice to hone your own personal techniques, but practice also comes from the experience of doing it.

Too many amazing creative projects stay locked up in all of us...we may even get so far as to have the parts, tools and boxes of un-built minis in our "trying" to get it done.

Heed master yoda, "do or do not, there is no try".

So, go for it, the results will be amazing.

Yes, it is that easy. But Davethepak is right, the hardest part is getting started. Believe me, it may look like a huge ordeal, but once you get the ball rolling it becomes less daunting as you go on.

So I say go for it! And make sure to post pics on Dakka!

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Yeah - make sure you clear away all your other projects and toys before starting a terrain project of this kind of size

Yep. It really is that easy.

The key to it is in the planning. Once that's sorted it's all good.

I think that a 4x4 size would be a good display board for apocalyptic armies, Do you guys think a local gw would accept someone giving them a battleboard?

Accept a battleboard? I'm sure they would, if it fit with their collection of terrain and such.

Or you could just send it to me

Well, The thing is is that I want to make the board but have no need to have one, and the FLGS does need some new terrain so...
