Hello everyone,
I'm StoneRaizer and I'm fairly new to the GW hobby. Originally I began several years ago in the late 90s with the Specialist Game Mordheim and a little bit of 40K. Times changed and I stopped playing for many years. Fast forward to the summer of 2011. A longtime friend met a group of guys who play 40K, Fantasy and Flames of War. He bought an Eldar army off Kijiji and began playing with this new group and invited me to check it out. I did and soon after began purchasing and building my first 40K army. I was torn between Orks, Grey Knights, Imperial Guard and Space Wolves. I chose Space Wolves in the end because I liked the fluff, I've always been a fan of snowy environments and Vikings, and nobody in the group plays Space Wolves. It also provided me with some conversion opportunities because I wanted my Wolves army to look unique and not simply light blue painted Ultramarines. Currently I have 1850 points and am very happy with my list, but now I need to start painting everything. My plans for the hobby in 2012 include finishing painting my army, checking out some tournaments in the area with the gaming club and possibly starting both a WHFB army and a Blood Bowl team.
I've been browsing DakkaDakka for months and picked up some great advice on painting, modelling, and strategy. I figured it's about time to start contributing to the conversations instead of mooching free information.

Welcome to Dakka, and more importantly welcome back to the hobby. I left the hobby as well for 10 years but came back in '09 because my friend Feldenglas dragged me back to it, and since then I've been back with a vengeance. I look forward to seeing your work. Search around Dakka, there are some amazing Blood Bowl threads, great conversions and inspiration!
