Having just finished my Dragon Ogre conversions, I have reached a new milestone!

R: Shaggoth: 2 Hand Weapons

For a total of 3000! My general tactic is the Flank Power Rush(TM), trash dropping the hounds, deploying the warriors midfield, along with a knight on either flank, then just loading the ogres, drogres, shaggy, and DP on whichever flank seems most susceptible. Three M7 swiftstride units, a flyer, and the M6 ogres tend to be able to oversaturate most ranged attacks, and are usually able to engage on turn 2, allowing the warriors to solo fight whatever block has been put across from them... Which almost always favors WoC. I'm not much of competative player, but I feel this army is near the apex of it's effectiveness.
Edit: Didnt realise that normal sorcerers couldn't take shadow :doh:... Would rather have a fighty guy with lore of shadows than more magic defence with lore of death/fire

I would say get rid of the banner of rage or give that unit halberds because otherwise that banner negates the parry save bonus.
Also you don't seem to have much to deal with regen so you might want to add some flaming damage in there.

Banner of eternal flame helps and kills regen!(just like cowpow said) and with an army that big you could use at least two units of 5 hounds for the blocking/flanking of units

Thanks for the replys!
@ cowpow : I think it's preferance between +1 armor (which help in all phases of the game) and +1 Str in combat. Although I can't argue against the effectiveness of halberds, I don't feel too far behind (and the models are done  )
As for the flaming banner, I could swap the raptuous standard, or remove the DP's magic level and put it on a unit of knights... But meh... That would be removing one flaming attack (flickering fire) for another... And regen only scares me on huge units, and those type of armies tend to give up a lot of points to the power flank, while I don't engage the main unit. I'm sure I'll change my opinion when I'm rocked by the first duel abomb list I encounter...
@ Wolf : You might have missed the two units I included? I find tremendous use for those, but couldn't think of ways to utilize more.

Flaming banner is useless on knights.
The reason I suggest halberds is because you are initiative 5 so you go first against anything that isn an elf. The elves you fight may go first but usually hit you on a 4+ and wound on 5+ unless thy are mindrazored in which case the shields will only make a little difference.
When you deal with regen the things that have it have low initiative. Examample trolls ogres (with regen spell) hydra are all at initiative less than you.
The thing is too that halberd warriors and hw shield warriors each play a different roll. If you can out deploy your opponent and have your army fight the units they are really good against makes all the difference.
Flickering fire is an excellent spell maybe drop the dp and get a lvl 2 tz caster might get you a nifty spell or two.
