Does anyone know of a great place to pick up some extra missile launchers?

I'm trying to make my 3rd squad of Long Fangs, but I'm coming up short on the missile launchers. >_<

Or is this something I'll have to Shop-Swap for?

There are a horde of bits merchants you can probably pick them up from... but you'll pay a premium.

Hmmm...do you know of any such places that may have an online store Gits?

All kinds of bits from GW and other companies for just about everything.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Oh shoot fexor.. a bunch... but I've got all the links on my home computer so won't have access until tonight.

I would suggest going on e-bay and searching, "40k, marine, missile launcher". Most of the bits merchants have e-bay store fronts and many have "buy it now" as well as up for auction pieces. Also check the banner adds in the upper right of dakka, I think several bits merchants advertise there.

The Black Reach Missile Marine might be the most cost effective option.

I had a hell of a time trying to get the 15 I needed. When the codex first came out Ebay auctions for a single missile launcher (sometimes without even the legs for the guy) got up to around $12 apiece. I ended up spending about 45 dollars to get the 5 for my second squad. I did luck out and got my last 5 from a guy that played vanilla SM forever ago and had some laying around he was willing to trade for the extra multi-meltas I had from buying dev squads to get the original 5 missiles. So you might want to consider trying to trade for them either from a local or a bits dealer. Best of luck to you though, and I hope at the very least Ebay prices have fallen.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.

Wow, thanks everyone for all the great suggestions. I did check e-bay but there was only 2 available and neither had a "buy it now" option.

But that one that Ghostofman suggested has some pretty good prices.

I was looking at Forge World:

And possibly taking those Grenade launchers and some green stuff and making some unique looking missile launchers heh.

Thanks again for all the helpful comments and links.

With bit of converting, the HK missile launchers from Rhino/Razorback/Predator/any SM tank make great missile launchers, and chances are you have some lying around.

This is a good option. Converting really expensive Forgeworld grenade launchers that don't look the part in the first place is not.

I modelled my long fangs ML's with the HK missile launchers too. Really cost-effective and certainly looks the part. Even makes for better posing options if you ask me

Was just wondering this myself:

reading it now, looks very promising

Yeah I saw that conversion as well. Looks pretty good. I might try that with the bitz (if I can find them >_< ) that I have.

I haven't really focused on this issue in awhile, I need a few more LF's myself, with not enough ML to go around. I think this will be the downtime project while I'm doing my PoM.

THIS! Missile launchers are massively overpriced at bits sites. Well maybe not the demand is so high, but they are insanely expensive for a little piece of plastic. Hunter killer missiles are a lot cheaper, or even free.

You could just buy IG missile launchers. You'll have to cut them down, but they work plenty well. The space marine bolter-shooty arm can easily be reposed to hold the launcher in a shooty position (or vehicle storm-bolter gunner arms) I've done the same on my iron warriors because I had no missile launchers to hand.

Another option could be to make a "multi-launcher" using the CSM smoke launchers. Bit of retooling required, but slap a bos on its back end and you are set (then again, this may be a better option for tterminator launchers..)

If you need the HK launchers... I might be loath to let them go, but I have some to "spare"

Nice, thanks for the link. Using IG launchers could work well for my CSM as well.

Ask around your FLGS. Chances are you'll find some players from other Space Marines chapters who aren't using their Missile Launchers. Two kits besides Devastator Squads are Tactical Squads and Scouts with Sniper Rifles. If you get Scouts Launchers, those could probably be chopped off and glued onto a Power Armour arm or you could possibly glue Power Armour shoulder pads right over the Scouts pads.

Lastly, you can change the loadouts of your Long Fangs Packs so that you don't need as many Launchers. In my 1850 list I'm running two Long Fangs Packs, each with three Missile Launchers and two Lascannons.

I am pretty sure you can make your own ML with plasticard tubing, rods and some spare bitz. I'll be shocked if there is no tutorial on how to do it out there.
