A squad with multiple Plasma Guns (IG Plasma-Vets for example).
When you rapid fire (2 shots each) do you roll all the dice at once, or seperately for each gun?
The issue involves the "Gets Hot" rule. If you roll them all at once you could end up with 3-4 'ones' resulting in 3-4 dead guys, even though it may be a case of a gun getting 2 Gets Hots (potentially killing that guy twice but another guy not having to make saves on his gun that hit twice).
If you roll them individually (like MC thunderhammers) then you know if a guy gets a single save or snake eyes for 2 saves.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

I believe you'd be rolling saves as if they took the wounds from shooting. For exanple, you have 2 Guardsmen rapid firing plasma and roll 3 1's to hit. You would then roll 3 armor saves for the plasma gunners that fired. If you fail 2 or more saves then you'd remove both as casualties.

That is incorrect as the Gets Hot! rule on page 31 specifically says that the model suffers the wound and not the unit; therefore, one would need to check for each model's firing separately and make saves as appropriate for that particular model.

As the others have said

You roll separately for each model firing, as you need to know WHICH model suffers gets hot!

There is no wound allocation allowed, as the model who Gets hot! MUST suffer the wound

This is a benefit - when firing 2 shots you can only kill one plasma gunner, not two!

This is generally the reason you don't see plasma spam too often.

Hasn't this been answered with the Gets Hot! rule? Each model is a risk, not the unit, so you would have to check the rolls for each model. I really don't see the confusion here or elsewhere, except the people who want a powerful shot without some cost...

And if the whole unit is using vengence round it's likely that most of them would be equipped the same anyway.
