Anyone have any experience with this kit? Or similar kits?

How much is resin, how much (if any) is plastic?

Are the forgeworld marine molds of decent quality, or can I expect lots of warping and trouble putting them together?

Can I use normal marine arms with them (planning on using them as Vanguard Veterans, so I'd need to replace a few arms with power swords / fists).

They are pretty cool, and all resin. I have had several sets and some are better than others, they all need some kind of clean up. I really have not had any warping issues, just clean up and filling mostly. If you take a look at my IF 5th Company 1st squad you can see several of the FW marines mixed in, they look fine compared to other marines.

I just got a squad of the MKIV Maximus dudes, and I must say they are simply the best models I've ever put together. They work with all GW marine parts and when assembled are slightly more "True-scale" than GW plastic marines.

Of course, when working with resin you need to wash it with warm soapy water and an old toothbrush before assembly to get rid of the release chemicals, otherwise primer paint won't stick.

FW has a "working with resin" article on their site.

Otherwise, I highly recommend the kits. They're awesome.

I got a set of the Iron Armors and they were great. One of the better done things Ive gotten from FW. I dressed them up a bit with some parts from other SM. Pic is in my gallery.
