Hi all

I'm one of those modellers who enjoys designing their armies to reflect a history or storyline related to their army, for my DE this is the idea that they are a failed wych cult struggling to rebuild (Its great as the gradual purchases of new units doubles as fluff )
Anywho my cult is meant to be lead by two sisters, Lelith thankfully is clearly the right gender however the Archon is a bit androgynous even when given a female head.
I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of gender conversions (god that sounds weird) as the ones I have found on google are really fanservicey with the whole battle bikini thing or other sexed up parts. It's a battlefield dammit, a thong isn't protection.

The main problem i've noticed is that in reality women in armour don't have special moulds in their breastplates for, well, their breasts. So I'm kinda reluctant to go the SOB armour route and greenstuff breasts onto the armour. Would it be better to maybe just re-pose and trim the model so it looks a bit more lithe?

You know what, just tell me when a weapon doesn't have AP

Have you considered other model lines?

Hasslefree has a number of female models which you could sculpt additional spiky armour onto. Reaper probably also has something that would fit too.

I never thought of that, good plan. The only concern I have is wether my local GW would be a bit finky about me using a rivals model.

Depends on the guy(s) running your store. I've played in both my local GW and at Warhammer World with my daemon princes (this and this), neither of which are GW models (the first of which only has one GW piece on it), without any problems

I think that for a single model, or model parts, most people would be happy with conversions/replacements using other company models. Hell, GW's catalogue is so extensive that most people who play GW games (especially newer players) don't recognise older GW products anyway

Perhaps this?

If not one of the Eldar Guardian torsos would give a good starting point and failing that you could go with some other company as mentioned.

Off the top of my head from warmachine.
Deneghra from the Cryx faction.

Fiona the Black from the Mercenary faction.

May need a head swap to look elf-like though.
Now that I think about it I might even grab this for the Dialogus I need.

What about this model:

It has feminine features and the head could be cut off and replaced with one without a mask. Alternatively, you could write fluff and say that she was wounded in battle previously and is so ashamed of her appearance that she won't let anyone - not even Lelith - see her disfigured face.

Surprisingly that's the model for the manliest DE and a sort of nice fit.

You could use a female body from the Kabalite set to get the armored look with a head swap for the Archon if you want to retain the recognizable mask. You would also have the weapon arms to use. (I just swapped the Archon head to the Succubus model).
