My name is Charles and I have been building models since the age of 9 but it wasn't until 1997 that I started to build models for gaming. I have since "retired" from gaming but I continue to build for enjoyment and have started my first diorama in 7 years. I stated with Necromunda and using my gangers I built up my first IG army. By the time I stopped gaming I had amassed 40 vehicles and 150 figures. I still have GW kits unbuilt on a shelf and boxes of metal and plastic figures.
I have to admit that when I started building gaming pieces my technique improved because I was getting feed back from not only the other gamers but traditional modelers as well. I also had to learn how to use metal and resin along with plastic and refine my painting and weathering skills. I hope to expand my knowledge on conversions by being here. At the moment I am finishing a diorama showing a IG patrol out in the boonies.
Anyway I hope to gleen as much as I can here and hopefully pass what I know on.

More fodder for the Shelf of Shame! I hope you find inspiration for those models and that they find their way from the shelf to the display case.
