I news a really good 1000pt list. Can you guys help?

Here is my BT. It totals 997pts

Emperors Champion w/ATWDTW - 110

ELITES
5 Terminators w/2 Cyclone ML, Tank Hunters- 265

5 Man Crusader Squad w/ML, PG - 96

Only thing that worries me is the size of your crusader squads, and the range of the vindicators not matching your majority range of the army, you would end up putting your vindies out there to open with no support to speak of. I would remove the vindicators and replace them with a pair of destructor with las sponsors, that or another tremor squad, that way for.your entire army all you have to do is stand back and shoot till your opponent comes to you.

Would it change your advice knowing that its fbr a team tourney and he will bringing 2 refleman dreads, 2 tacs in Razorbacks, a Thunderfire, and a chapter master. And he is using the space marine codex if it matters

I am about suggest spending 100 pts or so extra
If you gave lascannons to your squads, they cost an extra 5 pts. Then the tacs. may be bringing ML. That way a stationary back line, of light infantry with 2 ML, 2 Lascannon and Thunderfire has a nice range of ranged fire power. Chapter Master would be ok here to protect them.

The dreads, 'backs and termies make a nice slow moving wall.

The vindis are going to be lonely going forward. So the above advice remains the same
Maybe preds with PotMS would be better?

sell the ML and plas on the crusaders- 46 points left

buy las and flamer for crusaders - 10 points left

frag grenades on all of the crusaders - break even

So you say I should go Lascannon and flamers in my crusaders inslead of Las/plas?

Yeah, this saves points, and you have short range protection with the flamer, if you are going to have disparity in your shooting ranges you might as well protect the backfield at the same time.

POTMS Preds are dumb, there's no reason you'd want to pay 30 additional points to an AC or HB. Why would he put frags on Bolter Crusaders? About the only reasonable thing you suggested is getting a LC instead of a ML.

So your only scoring is 2x5 man units on foot?
I'd look for a way to get a mobile scoring unit.
It looks like you're build is all about holding, which won't work all the time.

I ran a list very similar to this in a team tourny earlier this month with a SW player and we performed very well. We had a rediculous # of str 8 + shots between my CML terms, las/plas Crusaders and his Long Fangs. My Vindicators provided a great fear factor when it came to protecting our gun line.

I suggest dropping a Typhoon and getting EA on your Vindicators. It's cumpulsory when building a strategy around them with this type of list. Use the last of your points to bulk up your troops with Neophytes. You'll be testing on 8 after your first casualty.

PS I think your Vindicator points are incorrect, they're 155 with potms.

His friend is running the transports, which is good because BT Rhinos/Razors are more expensive than Codex. BT make great holders with their cheap heavy weapons.

So something lijke this maybe?

Orshould I drop a pred and 2 Neophytes for a TH dread?

At least drop something to make room for extra armor on your vehicles

Your crusader squads wont last long with no transport and only five guys
