Better paint them blue. Or Red, Yellow or Green.

Hmmm sell them for chaos cuz the emporah is false.

But if you're really into him THAAT much I'd go with a blood angels theme maybe a successor chapter? blood angels are the only loyalists I respect and imo they're a more powerful force on the table top than regular marines.

Whatever your favourite colour is, paint them that.

Paint them blue, the color of best buy stores

Or Yellow, the color of Big Bird

Or red, the color of tomatoes

Or green, the color of zuchinni

Or Silver, the color of can openers

Or black, the color of office chairs

Or blue grey, the color of Levis jeans

Take the awesome direction.

Its great value so i though id grab it XD but still, just trying to figure out a good colour scheme really, and what kind of customisation to go for.... atm im thinking a fairly rusty look, with the main colour as red

I'd go lime green and purple with a rusty battered look.

Start an obscure chapter. Mainline chapters are common and boring.

Well to make a rusty look you make a wash with red and brown and it makes a rusty orangey colour, then wash bits that you want to be rusted and hey presto!

GG man. My first 40k army was Ultramarines. Paint them how you want to

I normally stipple on watery blood red over black to get a rusty effect, over black watered red looks almost orange, then break up with brown. This only really work over metallic silver as the base needs to be black.

In truth though does painted metal normally rust as such? Unless of course the paint has chipped off, but that is a common and entirely different effect. they say you should always paint chips orange before painting them silver for that reason. That is not really the effect you are going for.

Normally rust and colour don't mix when painting colour schemes. It just looks a bit unrealistic.

You could think of doing some oddly tarnished effect if you think about it a bit, though.

Paint them black templars because

1 its your avatar, 2 they are the next MEQ to be released

As for a tarnished effect i quite like the idea, im just looking forward to playing around with my weathering pouders and some oil paint XD

But i really cant decide on the main colours i want =/

Where did you get a space marine megaforce anyway? For that matter, can you also buy ork megaforces there to?

They are painted as Ultramarines in the front cover, so I guess you should grab a pot of blue paint and start painting

To be honnest i would quite like to make my own chapter, but i think dark red always looks awsome on sms, and yes i do have several codexes!

They have started the SM megaforce up again. But they did not redo the ork one unfortunately, they replaced it with a DE one.

Make a blog on dakka. Be sure to refer to yourself in 3rd person in the title ie "brother exus' blog". Stick the marines together. Paint them poorly. Take plenty of pics.
