Hello everybody, I have enjoyed reading the threads of this forum and looking at the amazing efforts people have put into painting and sculpting their different armies. I have had interest in playing Warhammer 40K for a long time and just recently gotten the chance to actually watch a few rounds of the game at a local hobby shop. I think it's awesome but I can't seem to find the money to get into it, more so with the holiday season. Sooooo I joined here, figured if I joined I'd comment, make friends and learn things I didn't know before.
Things like painting tricks and techniques and maybe even some tactics. Hope being here will give me the motivation to focus funds into the game.

I'm interested in playing the Tau Empire and once iv done that and maybe actually played a game might start on Chaos Space Marines.
I think the Tau seem awesome so i going with that.

Im clueless in much, like I saw a Tau XV8 Crisis suit commander Converted to have chainsaw weapons... How the hell does that work?!? I have no clue lol. But I hope to learn much here.

I'm interested in games, video games, illustration and other such things.. And yeah.

Does anyone know where I can get one for cheap? Local spots only have space marines and such codex from what I could find.

I would say read over the rules a few times to get an idea of them, and then read the Tau codex to get the fluff and then their rules down (reference the main rulebook when needed or post on here).

For a codex you could try Ebay, Wayland Games, or just buy from GW direct if you want to go to the source.
