It was lovely to see the Androzani Major military. They certainly seemed quite 40k-esque, their suits reminding me of Kasrkin, and they had a walker not too far off a Titan.

The Kasrkin were just men. It made their actions all the more astonishing. Six white blurs, they fell upon the cultists, lasguns barking at close range. They wasted no shots. One shot, one kill. - Eisenhorn: Malleus

The suits reminded me of the Yellowjackets out of MERCS.

I thought it was a great episode.

My wife and daughter are still trying to catch up with the current series so it's nice that the Christmas specials work outside the timeline.

The titan was cheap enough to leave it to be destroyed by acid rain, which was a bit strange.
But an excellent episode. Heartwarming, if I may use the expression.

Personally, I thought it was boring and predictable.

Spoiler:
I predicted Armstrong wouldn't be left for dead since the details of the plot were first released.

For me, the Androzani were the only good thing about it, even though they were the butt of a few jokes and weren't exactly Space Marines. Still, Bill Bailey managed to come across more serious than I expected him to. I'd love to see these Androzani again.

A bit smoltzy but enjoyable nontheless.

Door left open for the mum from outnumbered to reappear, she was quite good as well. Possible good replacement now that we know that Pond is definitely going.

Disappointing lack of a new series teaser At the end of the episode wold be my only complaint.

The following teaser for Sherlock was good though.

I found it cringeworthy and was embarrassed that my family sat down to watch it with me.

It was a nice kids Christmas TV show. It didn't have a Cyber king in it but it did have a Lancaster bomber so it's not all bad.

Predictable formula. Nobody dies and the power of love saves the day.

It was a pity to waste him on a cameo, so let's hope he makes a longer appearance in the future.
