Following on the previous poll, we narrowed down the choices a bit. We took out anything that is "plastic" which includes resin and resin plastic from Forge World and wanted to do just the top 5. So without further ado please vote!

Mordian Iron Guard, because the sprue could include Praetorian heads and you would effectively have two regiments in one box.

Mordian, some of the slickest looking metal IG, and, I like the extra head idea too.

Steel legion, so I can add some cheap (for GW) variation.

It was them or femguard, and femguard aren't different enough for me (painting wise).

Pretre: OOOOHHHHH snap. That's like driving away from hitting a pedestrian.

Steel Legion all the way.

The meaning of victory is not merely to defeat your enemy but destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavors, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory.

Though I doubt it will happen due to the fact that they look too much like Forgeworld's DKoK (even though the SL predates the DKoK), I voted Steel Legion. They look the most 40Kish.

Female troopers might be cool, but really, theywould probably look silly with oversized boobs. I feel like players who really want ladyguard can just convert them. There are a lot of custom heads out there, and filing down the arms can be done if they seem too bulky. Otherwise, in fatigues and body armor, women sadly don't look all that feminine anymore, lol.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Tallarn...best possibility for conversions. They'd work well for Renegade IG, Chaos cultists, Genestealer cultists, Necromunda, etc.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

Mordians with Praetorian head sprue in the box. The metal Mordians are still some of my favourite figures.

Though I normally enjoy female miniatures over their male counterparts, I went with a self-serving interest in Valhallans. My desire for female Guardsmen has been slaked ever since I received my order from Chapterhouse Studios of... I believe 36 Guardswomen - as it turned out, I have more than enough arms from all the Cadian kits I've gotten to complete them. Sadly, I received them during one of my breaks from WH40k, so they have remained unbuilt.

My current IG interest, though likely temporary, is in Valhallans. A few days ago, it was in Steel Legion - and I have some nostalgia from many years ago, when I had a Steel Legion missile team for my IG. Tallarns and Mordians have also caught my eye and sparked temporary interest on occasion. Really, any of the possible options in the poll would be just fine with me, but I selected Valhallans due to my current interest in them.

Steel Legion, gotta be. I know if GW released a good set of greatcoat plastics, every Johnny-come-lately plastic company would stop trying to make their own specifically to fill that niche. In addition, the old Steel Legion figures were fantastic, and plastics could only be better. Valhallans would be boss though, if only because it would make a fluffy army of them financially possible.
