Nosey, ain't ya?

ok this is where I thought this should go:

Zombie game

the Suvivors are allowed 1 character each. This model may not be over 150 points, a vehicle or a MC.

per turn roll a D6 and add D3 for every character still alive. this is the amount of zombies that turn. Add D6 for every turn over 1. The game ends when the final character is killed.

Zombie:

Ws-2 Bs-N/A S-X T-3 W-1 I-2 A-1 Ld-10 Sv-6++

Special Rules: Fearless, FNP, Fleet, Rage

Characters CANNOT kill each other, they can however, reduce each others wounds to 1

characters may take any USR for +20pts and may upgrade their stat-line by 1 for +10 per characteristic.

whadda y'all think?

The issue I have with a 150 point character is that a lot of characters are not at all shooty. I would like to see a heavy bolter marine for example having at the zombies more than a SM captain.

As for the zombies, I prefer the slow and purposeful variety as opposed to your track star variety with fleet. Also not a fan of the 6++, feel no pain adequately represents how hard they are to kill in my opinion. A zombie hit and wounded by a krak missile should have no chance to save.

Finally, your str is listed as x? Is this supposed to be 3?

Is the poison to represent the fatal zombie bite? If so, you still want a strength score, as if the str = toughness, then you get a reroll on poison.

Hmm, I once played a zombie game which was pretty cool, but I think it would be out of place to write all of its rules in this thread, so I'll just give me humble opinion on the rules here.

I think you should allow multiple characters per player but eliminate the option of increasing something in their stat-line. By the phrasing of these rules I could only like an imperial guard soldier, but then buff up his strength and toughness to an insane level as long as points allow it.

Reduce the points per player, 150 is enough for a small force and if you have multiple players its really a lot for the zombies.

We played with limited ammo which was pretty fun. Every player had the option to either invest his/her points in more soldiers, more ammo or special weapons for these soldiers. It made the game harder but also more interesting as players had to chose when to use their ammo and for which targets or when to go into close combat. Special weapon ammo was scarce.

Maybe get rid of fleet and fnp for the zombies. As long as they are not slow and purposeful they will still pose a big enough threat without steamrolling the players.

Hope this helps. I had a great experience with my zombie game.

I mean that you may only increase each by 1 i.e. a guardsmen could be S4 at most

Sure, we can roll this out

I'll be the Doom of Malan'tai, for 90 Points, with +1T, +1I, +1WS, +1sv++, and the Hit and Run special rule.

Me and my Mate tried it out. I'll get rid of the +1 Charecteristic thing but I was thinking you could use kills to buy USR's or something for 25 kills then you - that from your kill count. Incidentally, Saga of the warrior Born for SW is possibly THE most OverPowered thing for this so maybe cut the pts down to 75 ish maybe

Me and 2 friends tried it out. One of them plays Daemons and used the Heralds' pairing ability to field a pair of Heralds at 150pts each.

Then my SW buddy did the same, taking a pair of Runers with JOTWW andLiving Lightning, among other things.

And thei=re is poor Castellan Crowe, Storm Swording and cleansing Zombie3 after Zombie, only to catch a 6 for his Int test on Jaws.

I did limit it to 1 model per player at most. Hell, maybe I should reduce the Pts further, What do we think?

I say 150 is alright actually. There's not much outside of Malan'tai that can wreck it. Remember warrior born only counts models in base for attacks, not models in combat.

What about the Saga that ives attacks equal to the number of CC kills last round?

I have been cooking up a similiar aspect to what you are doing.

Playing field: from 2'x2' to 4'x4'. Board should be at least 50% terrain that blocks LOS, grants cover, and is difficult (like walls, ruin, and rubble)

Each player
chooses a army (space marines will be used as an example)
the enemy can either be tyranids, plague zombies, or maybe deamons
Basically, after a certain milestone of kills, that model "levels up". Each player's model MUST start at the basic troop choice (Space marines start at scouts) and level up following a tech-tree
ALL PLAYER CHARACTERS ARE FEARLESS
Space Marine Tech Tree
Scout-marine-sergeant-vangaurd-chaplain OR librarian
OR -sterngaurd- captain- chapter master
Ork Tech Tree
Ork boy- Skar Boy(+1 Attack)- nob- Warboss
OR Mek- Flash Git- big mek
OR Painboy (can revive in 5+)
Imperial Guard Tech Tree
Guardsmen-sergeant(+2 conscript)-Junior Officer(Platoon commander, +2 gaurdsmen)- Senior Officer (Company Commander+ 2 veterans) these additiona troops may level up
OR veteran- stormtrooper- ?techpriest?

I only have three trees so far(I only know these armies that well)

Enemy Horde:(with Tyranids) Wave endings are when current horde is terminated
first wave is d3 per defending player (horde consists of ripper swarms)
second wave- d3 + d3 per defending player (addition of hormagaunts)
third wave- d6 + d3 per defending player (addition of genestealers)
fourth wave- d6 + d6 per defending player
Fifth wave d3 + d3 per defending player (addition of d3 tyranid warriors)
etc
Points are earned according to the point value of enemy (Ie hormagaunts are 6 score points)
To level up once- earn your point value, and gain 1 wound (wounds stay as was pre-level up, you don't reset your wounds)

This is a really rough sketch of my initial rules but you get the idea. Also, I have yet to work out weapon upgrades.
