I love the Dakka Blog, it's a good way to get people into the Gallery and to comment and rate images.

I was thinking that once a week there should be a "Dakka Day" where a particular race, group or army is exclusively covered in the Dakka Blog, e.g you pull out lots of interesting pictures on that theme so :-

week 1. Day Da'Orks (lots of pictures of well painted orks etc
week 2. Festival of the High Elves.
week 3. Malifaux Day
week 4. Day of the Astartes

Etc.

There are enough races etc that we should be able to span this over the year, and it means rare armies Wood Elves, Squats etc get their day in the Sun?

I think a good way to notify the day is to send a PM to everyone on Dakka on the day/

At the moment it is mostly automated, so doing so is not hugely easy without an appointed person to do the work. There is the technical capacity to add a blog admin (or multiple), but we are still thinking about the logistics of it as that person would have a lot of dangerous power, and a lot of thankless tasks. Nice idea at least though.

Dangerous power? Sexy, Dangerous, corrupting power.

I'd like the ide if we got a group of people around to do it -ie one persone does a defferent race and could swap from time to time id to orks of space marines.

No, thats not what I mean't at all. The Dakka Blog on the front page of the Website, should be once a week just 7-8 Pictures of a Race and some links to interesting forces. "It's not a do as say - Or else I will use my [insert geeky reference] on you"

To clarify my 'danger' point too, blog admin power can delete paid promotional content, can cause the site to slow drastically by crunching additional content out of the database, can post any junk they can think of to the home page, and can sabotage older content at their will. All relating to the home page, not project logs.
