I was talking to the guys I game with at my FLGS about the Destroyer of Eternities as possibly being one of the best pieces of wargear in the game! I mean an item which bestows one of the rarest abilities, Heroic Killing Blow, in the game is pretty epic. I was curious tho what else in the game has Heroic Killing Blow?

So As far as I know just a Tomb King with DoE has it on all attacks. Skulltaker has a version of it and the NEcrosphynx has the one HKB attack. I've also looked through The Empire book, talked to a Wood Elf, High Elf and Dark Elf player and we couldn't come up with any more HKB attacks. The Ogre Kingdom player said he didn't think he could get it - but isn't fully familiar with his book yet. Same goes for Beastmen, Skaven and Lizardmen (they didn't think so but weren't sure). I used to play Bretonnians and don't recall anything having HKB in that army either. Armies we don't know about are Dwarves, Orcs and Goblins, Vampire Counts and Warriors of Chaos.

Current Armies:

Warmachine:
Shae Pirate's Life 50
Durgen attrition 50

WH40K:
Orks (5,000 pt Apoc Kan Wall, 1850 Bikerz)
Grey Knights (1850 Crowe Purifiers, 2500 'Ard Boyz Draigo)
Sisters of Battle (Seraphim spam)

I'm trying to remember what in Brettonia has HKB

*Edit* Ahh isn't there a lance that gives you it on the charge?

TK - Destroyer of Eternities, Necrosphinx
OK - Bragg the Gutsman
Bretonnians - One of the Virtues
Daemons - Skulltaker

No one else has it at the moment.

Oddly enough Lizardmen do have one of the few things completely immune to all forms of Killing Blow - Gor-Rok!

Now only a CSM player.

Malakeith is technically also immune to HKB too correct? Since any attack can only ever cause one wound.

Malekith is indeed immune to KB as well. Gor-Rok is however far cheaper and was always considered one of the more useful Lizardmen SCs (just for giving a Saurus unit stubborn!)

Bragg has HKB, but only in Challanges. hence why he sucks. If it was static he might be situationally useful.

TK can also get HKB on Tomb Guard by casting the KB spell on them. An entire unit with HKB. as an ogre player this makes me very scared

Wrong. The spell activates Killing Blow on a 5 or a 6.

You sure about that?

I swear I saw it with my own eyes in the TK book.

I checked he's right, the spell does effect HKB too so if you had that it'd go on a 5+ as well.

All armies can get HKB with the Nekrarkhian Sphinx terrain piece as well. With luck, of course.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Virtue of Heroism Bretonnia had the original heroic Killing Blow described as killing blow with the target restrictions removed.

Its very nasty as the virtue can be hidden on a character, and a hero can afford it. This makes it quite risky to have a big monster near a paladin.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
