LOL! I am still wondering if that ought not to be just a shell stowage now that I am moving the main gun to the turret, but after seeing how the Russian MBT's have it stowed under them and auto-loaded.........

Looks like you are replacing the main barrel with a smaller one and adding a larger barrel higher up the tank, i may have misread your designs, but if thats right, that is more of a taditional tank design. the shroud idea would protect the vents nicely , are you going to add plenty of battle dammage ? or is it a fresh from the factory one?

Still deciding on fresh from the factory or scarred. A more traditional tank design would cease the possibility of the main gun stabbing a berm and being trapped. The one odd off will be the main gun will sit to the side not the center of the turret.

The main gun is a little wider than the Lascannon, and in my mind more the size the battl4e cannon ought to be, but due to the lengthg of this gun,. looks like this baby will be a Vanquisher class sniper!

The turret is also bigger, and the turret I used for the "exterminator" is from a 1/35th scale medium tank!

only down poit here are the wobbly looking treads... thr prospect of making a crew and doing the interior is quite nice and will be much fun to follow...

i am currently reading a thread about how ugly the LR is... well i am kind of split in half about it... i would really see a 1.5 version kind of blow up of the LR but i guess this has to be then my job^^...

the last pic with the barrel of the LR on the rear of the T-64 looks a bit weird...i know i have sometimes a mind straight from th gutter, but there is an association there thats not familyfriendly...^^

yeah, the vinyl treads were not packed in a straight and unwobbly fashion, but the model has the upper hull and side skirts to hide that mess.

Interesting tank, very low and flat, good for round deflection.

That T-64 looks more like a T-80/90. Its definitely a far cry from the T-62.

Yeah, the T-64 started pretty plain, and I linked to Youtube for a nice video, but the Kharkiv Military Desin Bureau(KMDB) made these Up-grade and Modernization packages and the "Bulat" is the T-64-BM-2 designation. Kit has it all! Plastic in green coloration, soft tracks, resin ERA glacis layer, and the resin turret protection, Plastic parts for the flaps on that turret. AND photo-etched parts for a model that cost with shipping 40.77USD. Also, the surfaces are nicely detailed with textures as well as other good details.

That vent was really too big not to attracted grenades and rockets from enemy troops, do here it is altered for the tank's protection.

One can also see the side skirts that came with the kit. Helps hide the wobbly tracks. Also, as it is not glued yet, It will allow me to prime inside an out, also allowing painting details. I will add a driver to show off for this interesting piece. This will be a Leman Russ Equivalent so I can use it in friendly games.

nice idea with that sentinel pilot body... i hope you can assemble and paint the tank and pilot side by side...

the sculpting looks very good, i imagine some canvas protection for this section of the barrel... if i am not mistaken i have seen this dne before in real life tanks...this will be a nice diversion from your otherwise cleaner tanks...
the bolter will be good looking at this position, a better pic would be really nice too^^ as it is a bit stirred^^

what other 40k sideweapons will you be mounting on that tank? a small autocannon or something more mg looking on the lid of the turret?

also maybe since you have now a very low slung tank here there could be the oportunity to make it somewhat camo with netting even more... so this was then something like a stealth hunter of tanks...

really cool work! you cant possible fathom how much i envy you^^

Well,m I will have another to place in the drivers' seat, although, the legs will likely have to be shortened, or I sit it back some.

Well, the rear of the turret has places for Hunter Killer Missiles, if not regular missile launchers. I might add a pintle and Storm bolter for the commander.

I will likely have to make a rolled up and stowed net from putty.
