the rolled up stowed net sound spot on! do you know of flynetting for windows? (not that damned prog^^) you could use this quite good for that...
besides there could even be some sandbags on that really hughe bulk of tank...i am atm totally into the look of sandbags^^...

by the way, shakiness, do you have by chance a timer on your cam? this could help you to get some of the blurry away... read that in the macro photography thread here... i have done thsi on some occaisions when i was a bit over the edge and it really helped a lot... well actually a nice tripod would grace my pics too^^

not stirckly a tank , but i have always had a fancy to create some antarctic vehicles , for a winter ig regiment.

heck it got tracks it is a tank for me^^ after all i recall in some movies they used even caterpillars as tank substitutes^^

Vik: Likely, if I can find some, I may even use Gauze bandaging for the netting, just have to paint it and then roll it up, using putty straps. Putty sandbags, and I have some left over kit bags somewhere about to hang on the tank, but I also must save some for the Old Crow Tanks when they arrive to give them more "texture"

Neil101: Thanks. I basically came out with the plans and then kept to them, "I love it when a plan comes together!"

That T-64 has a lot of parts! including resin protection layers for the glacis plate and turret, the "flaps on the turret are photoetched parts so that will be interesting as I use plastic cement for the majority of the tank and superglue for the resin and metal parts. That will have to be loving gone over slower and more carefully.

Oh yeah, that is an amazing vehicle, it handles crevasses somewhat and is tracked, nice transport possibilities.

i still think the sculpting of the canvas cover for the amingun looks the best here...thebolter got a same treatment but to comment on that i think we need a closer look...

the commander looks cool, boltpistol and all...

there are some really good looking deatils on the tank... i am not too sure about the armored vent on the right side..(front view) it looks a bit to outreaching...but all could be looking differently when painted to thsi should be taken rather not too earnest...though the putty work there needs a bit of trimming^^

the treads now look also way better in their case^^ this looks working and ...did i say i love that you repositioned the maingun? now this loks like a tank and not like a treaded nose^^

but i guess the tank needs some deatils still more... shovels, cables and the netting...by the way, yep gauze is the way to go!!!

and some backpacks too...to give that nice lived in feeling...

Exactly, amazing what the upper hull and side skirts can do for you! I knew that original Main gun arrangement would never work outside of paved areas, thanks for the like of it being where it should be.

now withnthis better view on the boltersetup i have to ask you to trim down the piece of plasiccard to fit the surounding area... there is an edge there from the mainparts and your plasticcard is lower and all in all wider than eeded... i know probably there is a missing underground to it as you made the card cover something up from the cutting work... best bet is that you should extend the putty canvas there all around the bolter and just get rid of the card...how does that sound?


by the way, your tank looks mighty badass when the turret turns...this makes the enemy instantly *gulp*

by the way, why do you use black primer? i think it is rather hard to fight against the black underground with millions of layers... white is so much easier, grey even too...

but one things for sure... black is menacing... even only primed^^

Black helps a lot with seams and such when they are filled with it. It also helps keep that Shadow Gray from being too bright.

It looks like my IG will be facing new style Necrons come later this year if the rumors are correct! Poor infantry! Okay for the tanks, not like 3rd ed where they could make them explode!
