Thanks RW, but those sculpts are going slow :( So many tiny but basic shapes, which take ages to make and tons of concentration but still doesn't look impressive untill they all act together as whole =( I bet you know what I'm talking about... Besides other stuff like shoulders, I'm struggling with his backpack, trying to sculpt those damned "dragon" heads as even as I can... Seems like I'm winning after all.

I really like the Shredder/Cain Ork. I think both the sword arm and fist work well. I know you are making them stand more upright and maybe want them to look a little less "Orky", but Orks are aggressive and bulky and somewhat clumsy looking, and your model just makes them look awesome! Way to go. And I like Tri-Clops one too. Is the eye supposed to give him special sight or something?

Also, the Aztec Torso is amazing! I love it!

Thx Jake! As I said I will try to make him even better. I already have an idea for his left arm, that can possibly be cooler then the present.

Vik, I plan to add scales to the shoulders and leg armour too, so this guy probably going to be the most "riveted" marine ever

Thanks friends! I've done some more work on this torso and it's finally the shape I wanted... Now the hardest part remained - belt ornament.

A quick sketch of an emblem for the Sacrificers:

This should be a hand grasping a human heart as I plan to base their fluff around aztec ritual of consuming an oponent's heart. Tried to make it look in line with other aztec decor elements, I mean the segmented, carved mosaic look.

C&C anyone?

there was no need to explain that... i saw that imidiatly!!! it is quite expertly done! and i more thought of todays football or other sports emblems but mosaik is a cool idea too...but will you be able to get this done on a say shoulderpad too?`on a rhino or LR door no prob...but too tiny and the lines go all mushy... but i like it nevertheless!!!

Thx Vik, I'm just never sure how people would comprehend my works so a few words about can't hurt, can they?
And I designed this logo such that I can sculpt it on shoulder, it will be a challenge for sure but after what I'm doing now with the belt I think I can handle this

am i right in thinking you kept the belt for yourself atm? and when you designed that for a shoulderpad...respect! that´s got to be a really fiddly work... you should maybe think about getting that one casted then... as it would be interesting for lots of peeps too... the inlaying subtext is quite useful for lots of other chapters too...

I'm not keeping anithing from you guys The belt as a work in progress... I mean that I am sculpting it just as I'm writing this messages... yes, I'm turning in to a mad sculpter Jokes aside it'll take just a couple more sessions to complete the whole torso so I don't wanna do the pics right now as making them is always a stress for me without a propper camera and lighting.

I used to sculpt secretly but then I took an El Vik in the knee...
I've just completed the belt ornament and the heart on the shoulder. Will do the scales on the back and the hand for the logo next time...

Done it! At last... A final version I think.

Seems like I'll never be satisfied by GW minis standart proportions... Can't cope with SM's barrel-like torso... There should be a waist, some space for all the abdominals and stuff! Now this one got a waist. And a belt to support it
All the discussion on how this piece can be utilized made me understand that there is nothing on it realy to point out it's aztec origin. Now I hope it's quite aztec The image on the belt is my version of aztec Sun God with is a closest thing you can get to the Emperor in their mythology.

And a little bonus For all the waiting...

I tried to how on this emblem how the hand clutches this heart, squeezing the life from it...

So, I promised to deliver a highly detailed aztec themed SM chest piece... Did I succeed? Personally I think It turned out not as perfect as I'd like but much better than I thought it would.
To tell the truth I'm no big fan of SMs but this project might become a serious step in my hobby and if you somehow like it feel free to spread the word

Any C&C is strongly appreciated!

Thank you guys!

Some more early wip pics;

A basic shape of the backpack

And a base for the relic Macuahuitl blade. This my first plasticard work btw..
The hand is there only to show the scale, I will sculpt fingers according to the pose I'll choose.

Not sure what ornament to do for the blade...

Any suggestions?
