Looking for some help identifying a GW figure. Apologies for the terrible painting, my younger self was more interested in getting models on the table.

Slot-base style. Metal cast. Has 'Assassin' on one side of base, other has copyright symbol, then GW 198x - last digit is totally unreadable, most likely is a 0 .

No, that's the Rogue Trader era Imperial Assassin.

That's from before there were different types of assassins.

Yeah, he's an Imperial Assassin circa '87-88 ish.

He was one of the first oop minis I done (a good year or two ago) after my long absence from 40K, and was quite a reminder as to just how far GW minis have come since I last saw him as a kid.

I have one of these that I went and found on eBay years ago just because I loved the model... although he makes an acceptable Eversor stand-in for games.

While he's a little dated by today's standards, he's aged better than a lot of RT-era models.

I saw one of those on my buddy's desk last night and had to ask him what it was. He's been playing since rogue trader and has lots of nifty stuff. That guy looks like Snake Eyes from G.I.Joe to me, and that makes him awesome!

I got one of these guys from the Skullz campaign years back, where you got the silver skull stickers when you bought stuff from GW then traded them for goodies.

He would make a good Eversor, with the funky pistol and smeleton hand for his Neuro Gauntlet.

And with his head-sized fists, could also make a passable Alex Kid stunt double.
