Anybody see QI over Xmas? Brian Blessed on as a guest panelist. Tells of his trip to Mongolia. He's in his 70's, goes yompping up and down mountains all the time, but this time he shares his tent and trip up the local peaks with a bloody great wolf!!! Don't know who would have the more fur out of the two!

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

One day they're going to make a movie about this guy's life.
Did you ever see the interview with him dressed up like Captain Hook for a Peter Pan play he was in? Good Stuff.

Rumour has it that Blessed was in line for hosting the Crystal Maze when it first got shown, but it fell through and the rest is history. O'Brian was king, but Blessed...nirvana!

Couldn't agree more. He definitely deserves it. The QI episode was vintage Blessed, incidentally.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

Studying history at York I have observed that, Mr Blessed has an honorary position as official Shoutsperson of the University of York's Douglas Adams Society. More importantly this year a new quiet study centre has been built on the other side of campus. A poll was run to determine in who's honour the centre would be named. As a result of a combined student Joke, the new study space is named the 'Brian Blessed Centre for Quiet Study'.

He really should be knighted.

To quote the Channel 4 show, Peep Show: "I'm cancelling out of shame, like my subscription to White Dwarf"

We should organise Dakka to spam 'Call me Dave' into getting him on the Knighthood list.

Well, the previous Labour administration had 13 years.... etc, etc.

If only there were some method by which we could make the government aware of our predicament.

You know, my nanna Maureen says the exact same thing. Staunch Labour voter that she is, she cant bring herself to admit that the labour party couldn't run a bath so she says that the labour party that ran the UK for 13 years were actually the conservative party in disguise.

But she is very very old, and as such her ridiculous statement can be put down to senility or the misty veil of time shrouding her logic...

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I agree the misty veil of time may be shrouding her logic, after all she can see what most Labour supporters cannot, yet still supports them.

Oh, and Matty, to answer your previous question; a wolf has more hair but its damn close. BB must have quite a pelt..

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
