Hi all!

Well I will get right down to it. I have never played 40K before. The only miniature game I have ever had was Battle Masters when i was a kid (im 29 now) I discovered the Warhammer Universe when i played Dawn of War II a couple years ago, and 1 year ago I stumbled across the Warhammer isle at a hobby shop. I thought the models looked awesome and bought 1 (a space marine commander) and spent a whole weekend working on the little guy. I have attached a picture of him.

Now here I am a year later and have acquired quite a collection. I have most of the Space Marine kits built but have painted very few of them. Im thinking they will all become Ultramarines just because I like the blue and gold color scheme. I just got an air compressor for Christmas so I plan on airbrushing all of my tanks and landraiders.

Over the summer I started collecting Ork Kits, I think they are my favorite just because i love their style of "ramshackled" vehicles and they are so much more detailed than the space marines. If i ever decide to get into the game, this is going to be my army to play with. I have a ton of them built but have yet to paint them because I am still unsure if i want them to be my own or make them one of the preset warbands.

For christmas my wife got me the ork codex and the rulebook, Im just overwhelmed by where to start, and def need someone to teach me how to play the game. I picked up the Ork half of Assault on Black Reach on ebay for $21 just before Christmas, pretty much the whole kit minus the space marines and the long orange sticks.

Anyway, for now I just enjoy building and painting the 40K figures but look forward to playing them in a game someday.

Hi,

Woah, that's some wicked skill you have going on there. Welcome to Dakka, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work (even if it is wasted on the pathetic lapdogs of the Imperium...)
