The title says it all. Say I want my character to die can I choose to not take his armor/ward/regen save?

From my understanding, you have to take the save unless it is negated by the source of the attack.

You are required to take a save if you have one avaliable.
If you have 2 saves of the same type you can choose which to take, for example you could take your 6+ parry ward save instead of your 4+ ward save if you wanted your dude to die.
You wouldn't happen to be trying to use the PG character what's his face and assassinate an enemy character in a challange?

Umm no, page 44 is quite clear than when numerous saves are vailable you use the best.

You can hit automatically if your opponent agrees
But you cannot automatically fail a roll for very good reasons. Some charectors have special abilities that are activated on death, or it may be advantageous for you to have that unit die for some reason.

I usually see this question come up with Look Out sir saves. Often I'll want my BSB to fail a look out sir since against most things short of cannon balls, he's much more likely to shrug off the abuse than his compatriots. But I always take them anyways.

Indeed you are correct, I didn't think this rule was in Fantesy like it was in 40k.
This is important for Greedy Fist users so I will have to be the bearer of bad news over at the Stronghold. And you know they always eat the messenger

Isn't it in Caradryan's fluff that he knows the exact moment of his own death?
At which point he would know himself whether he is better off dead. I hate it when a model knows more than I do.

Just because he knows his own moment of death doesn't me he knows when he is better off dead.
Maybe Caradryan knows he will meet his end when the giant he has just slain falls on him.
