Depends on the store manager (I have had both yes and no answers to this question from same store). However be prepared to be told no or not if any of the main games need space.

Honestly if you have a 'brand new fresh' Manager probley not. If you have a old timer who remembers SG's they you might get away with it, just be prepaired to clean up at the drop of a hat if ' little timmy' need the table for 40k,WFB or LotR.

Generally, the answer will be no.
Sadly, GW and its managers are not into hobby stores any more just squeezing the last penny from the mainstream games.
It is a pity as given the chance the younger generation would probably love Epic, Necromunda, Mordheim etc and be encouraged to look beyond the next new 40k codex

Huh? Why do you have to ask to play anyways. As long as there is space. First come first served.
My store encourages it. All of them Epic, Mordhiem, Aeronatica. Its still a GW game.
I applaud you for playing Epic. Probably GW's best game. IMHO.

Having worked in a gaming store (though not a GW store), Tables full of people playing games and having fun is far superior to empty tables.
I don't see why they wouldn't allow you to play a GW game at a GW store, although if a tourney or league night is going to start, that changes things a bit.

In my GW, I asked about this and they said you can play any GW game you like, but if it's some thing like mordhiem or necromunda, ask beforehand just to make sure the terrain is avalible

The problem with that from GW's point of view is that if little timmy walks into the store and see's your playing epic and thinks it's cool he can't pick it up of the shelf right then and there like he could with 40k. I know he can order it but GW is all about impulse buying targeted at new customers. Plus epic is usually a lot cheaper then one of the 3 core games.
This isn't 10-15 years ago, according to GW little timmy will only play GW PLC games for less then 18 months. Most of a newbies purchase's will be within that 18 month period. If he drops out then GW has his money. IF he doesn't then they can continue to wallet rape his parents.
Of course epic is my and has been my favorite game since it was Called Adeptus Titanicus and Space Marine. =o]

Hell, our store manager is gonna run a modified Necromunda campaign that takes place in Commoragh so we can use our 40k models.
It all depends on the store manager.

I completely agree with this statement. To me, it seems that they are probably just doing their Job, but I know at GW - MT Gravatt they offer a day for specialist games (they used to at least.) I also do not think that it is unfair for them to tell you no if the tables will be in use (store run events, tournaments etc.) it is not unreasonable and I'd imagine not on a Saturday or Sunday (when Timmy's friends come in to learn the game.)
