Hello Dakkanauts, with the amount of "alternative bitz company" owners around Dakka, it is unpolite to come in their threads and ask for some "non-something"?

I do that a lot of times, and sometimes people seens do be offended, whyle is just see it as some sort of help, i mean, im telling them what i would buy, so they dont spend money doying thing they will not sell...

What you people think (specially you company owners)?

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...

Please, if you think im wrong, correct me (i will try to take it constructively).

Personally, I would welcome the communities input. I would think that is why quite a few places put WIP images on forums. So they can get input on what people want to see.

The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude.

I imagine such requests would be better received if they were phrased differently.

For example, instead of asking for "non-space marines", perhaps ask for "futuristic infantry in powered armour".

The only reason I can think of that a company would not look kindly on a request is if it seemed like an obvious request to copy another company's product. Phrasing is key!

Most of the 'not-whatever' requests I see seem to be various characters, such as 'Not-Doctor-Who' and similar... It is, to me, just shortcutting the process of saying "Oh, I'd like a traveling adventurer-type in a suit. Maybe he should look like a character from a well-known BBC show. No, not that one, the Nth actor would be great. Thanks!"

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

I see what you mean. To be honest I was thinking about not-GW requests, as that was what I inferred from the OP.
