I'm curious as to what everyone else's opinion is about the seemingly now conflicted Krell fluff between the new VC book and that of him in Legend of Sigmar: God King.

From the brief summery on the GW site.
Krell was a mighty Chaos Champion in the days before the birth of Sigmar, the ruler of a barbarian tribe that had been corrupted by the Chaos God Khorne. Though eventually slain by the Dwarf hero Grimbul Ironhelm during his assault on Karak Kadrin, Krell was returned to the mortal realm almost 1500 years later at the mercy of the great Necromancer, Nagash (though much deader than when he left it). Krell was finally defeated by Sigmar many years later and the resurrected (again) by Heinrich Kemmler, the Lichemaster. Armed with the Black Axe - a terrifying weapon of immense proportions, Krell will cut a bloody swathe through all in his path.

My recollection of God King. (spoiler, as I am revealing parts and ends of the book) Correct me if I'm wrong though, its been a while since I've actually red it.
Spoiler:
Basically when Nagash appeared, Krell was fighting alongside him and did so throughout the book as if controlled by Nagash. However, when Nagash fell to Sigmar, Krell remained intact, and it was indicated he was being controlled by another the entire time, thus escaping. Sigmar never actually fought Krell, which is against the new fluff, and it didn't seem that Nagash truly controlled him. Even if Nagash had controlled him, Heinrich seemed to hop on the roller coaster long before his own existence (or so I assume).

So it seems like the current fluff for the undead Khorne Lord has been a bit... misguided? Especially since the Sigmar book is so recent.
What is everyone's thoughts on this? Did I miss or forget something in the God King book and perhaps it is in fact the same fluff, or is GW still just that bad at being consistent?

Probably a consistency error, but then again, the GW site might be in need of an update as well.

Well the fluff from the GW site is on there for Krell's new model, so I would assume it abides by the fluff for him in the upcoming book.

GW fluff is always inconsistent - particularly when concerning continuity with Black Library books. Just accept whichever version of the fluff you want.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

Nagash's power was so powerful that it is plausable that he indeed was controlling Krell, but there was enough power for Krell to continue in undeath without Nagash's direct control once Nagash bit it. Then Heinrich came along and took over the ownership of Krell after an undetermined amount of time.

It is also always possable that Sigmar fought Krell, but not in any of the events of God King or any that are detailed within. maybe he fights Krell shortly afterwards. It does say "many years later" when he was defeated by Sigmar. Nagash's sorcery could have kept Krell animated for a few decades, getting weaker and weaker of course.
